You should most definitely redo those older videos now that you have more source material/a different style!! I think it's A really valuable thing to preserve the history of such a place as Disneyland as much as possible and remember what it used to be like!

I love these videos. I don't have a lot of photos to share, since tons of pics I had from the 70's were lost or decayed beyond restoration (over 200 slides and a few 8mm films). One thing I do have is some 1992 video which you are free to use. I have a channel here if you want to see them. I cant wait to see what's coming.

Awwww, while I am in no way opposed to you revisiting previously covered topics, I must say I appreciate those old ones! I love going back and watching those old Justin Scarred videos when you had blonde hair, would zoom in on strangers while questioning if they were a celebrity, and saying "he knows, he was there!" to random things like a duck or a horse carving. Those were the videos that brought me to your channel, I didn't know there were others that nerded out so deeply about random Disney stuff, and with so much excitement!

I like the idea of a web site.
My older brother was a member of the Jiminy Cricket Fan Club when he was little in the 1950’s. He even had a special card that my dad saved in a family photo album.
I have enjoy looking at the photos you’ve been showing from 1963 as my family visited the park that year when my mom was pregnant with me. They went in October and when they came home, she said I was kicking inside and giving her all kinds of trouble. LOL. So, growing up, I gave her a bad time in not waiting to visit until I had been born.
It wasn’t until 1981 when my parents finally took me to the park. They disliked coaster rides but rode Thunder Mountain with me. My mom and I rode it several times at night and nick named it “Thundy”. I also remember riding the submarines, Sky Way that took you over the park. I snagged a POV photo of it heading to go inside the Matterhorn. We did the monorail, presidents hall, I rode the rockets when they were located above on a platform. I didn’t realized how high they actually were until I rode it. I’m afraid of heights. I also remember watching the Electric Light Parade at night which was most impressive and awesome. Back then, the park offered no shade so finding a nice cool spot to sit and eat was impossible with heavy crowds. The eating places were horrible as it was primarily fast foods such as hot dogs and hamburgers which had no flavor.
We did stay at one of those wanky (“vintage”) motels across the street from the park. I recall us driving down the road that led to the park’s parking lot entrance where each car was stopped to pay for our admission and parking. After my dad parked the car, we could have taken a tram to the front gate but he got confused and forced us to walk a long distance. My mom was upset over that. LOL. He had a difficult time in finding our car after we exited the park at night.
My folks and I also visited Disneyland in 1989. That was the last time I rode Thunder Mountain as it was being refurbished during my visit with my husband when we visited in 2013. I have ridden the one at WDW when I was there in 2011 for IAAPA.
So, Disneyland sure has changed and improved in many ways since 1981 and 1989.
Oh, and my family lived in Walla Walla, Washington which made for a very long road trip back in the day. LOL.

Love love love these "history" vlogs on Dizzyville. So many "I remember that!" places that no longer exist. *sniff* I do so recall the Disney News stand, lots of last minute finds before you left the park, got on a tram and went to your spot "We're in Daisy Duck, okay?" I noticed in the photo a magazine with the word "Annette" and a pic of that lovely Mouseketeer. Can't wait for the next batch and for you to update your older vlogs! Keep up the great work!

Thanks Justin! I only remember the OLD Disney park from the old TV show (seen in B&W because we didn't yet have at our house the "Wonderful World of Color", hard to fathom for today's children) but I did get to visit the original Disneyland in 2003 and didn't know that the Skyride was gone! It seems like most Amusement Parks (except they still have one in Williamsburg VA at Busch Gardens) got rid of their rides because I guess of more exciting thrill rides and the space they take up but possibly because they either broke down and people got stranded for a while in the air or they just weren't that big of a draw any more. Oh well, such is life and change is usually inevitable but I was hoping that I would have had the chance to ride the one at Disney like I remember from the old days...ah memories. I was also a bit disappointed that the people mover that was so prominently featured in the old TV show when they debuted that wasn't around any more but at least the monorail is STILL THERE! I was, however, like you able to see when walking around the park where the remnants are of those two attractions just by being observant and I figured out that those above your head walkway looking things that were no longer used were for the people mover and I even found the area that seemed to be the old loading and unloading area for the sky ride. AH, we can dream can't we that one day they may return! Thanks for your history lessons of Disney then and now. They are entertaining and informative. Peace, till next time.

I just want say thanks for your videos they give joy and they're always informative. I was born in 53 and find your videos on early Disney history very nostalgic. I went to the park twice as a kid and have a few strong memories of the place. I just wished I had the pictures and home movies my mom and dad took of the trips but they were destroyed and no longer exist. I wish you the best of luck with your current distractions and hope everything turns out well concerning you. Also I enjoy your Route 66 videos and as a child me and my family traveled that road a few times. I a;m enjoying your enthusiasm for Disneyland Main Street History. When I researched Disneyland's musical history, I had to learn of the many former businesses that used to reside there. One of my favorites was the Wonderland Music store. I learned that one of the owners of the store used to play organ music in the evenings over the speakers as people were leaving the park. There is an album of her playing those songs. They also had a couple of coin-op mechanical piano players in the store and released two albums that featured them. So in all, the Wonderland Music Store actually had three albums for that store alone!
