I really like this unique fighting system. Makes fights that can get repetitive at times and turns them into something fun and interesting that are different each time. I just wonder if there is any meaning to the placement of your abilities on certain rows. Like, does each row affect the attacks in different ways? Seems like it would be cool if it did. Or if you get could buffs or abilities for each row or spot to keep switching things up. Like, if you could buff a certain space with armor piercing and different things like that. Or have a buff that causes each attack in a row or column to cause a burn or have a chance to stun the enemy and things like. I dunno how that would affect the balance of combat, but it sure sounds like it would be fun and keep things fresh.

Oooh I didn't even think of the layers like that. Could be a good way to add some depth ir maybe even have a relic system. Where they buff certain spots.
