- Kid Dakota's 2002 album So Pretty, released on Chairkicker's Union. This album got me through a very difficult time in my life and I am very thankful for its existence. It would be much appreciated, if you enjoy the album, if you were to purchase it. Also, it would be greatly appreciated if this album were to be released on vinyl but if you are reading this you probably don't have control over that.
Anyone else love finding new music? Anyone else love every genre and exploring deep into everything?
I love it because you find hidden gems like this. 9/10 at least.
No, you're the only one.
Chicken Nugget no love deep web...
Yess me too!!
i would give 9/11
I rather give 3/11. Investigate!
approximately:
1. "Crossin' Fingers" 0:00
2. "Smokestack" 4:23
3. "Bathroom" 9:15

this album is a lot better than i initially thought
You think?
I am so happy more people are finding this album
Really hard to believe this is not becoming super viral.
Good music typically doesn't get famous anymore.
steal someone's guitar riff, use autotune, be hedonist and narcist, you will be famous.
also don't forget about distorted bass which is out of tune
BuT iTs SoUtH dAkOtA.
Btw, this guy in now my music teacher, which is fun. That's the only reason why I know about him now
Dude your so lucky. Tell Him people in the indy underground fucking love his work. Please!
WOW. Found through recommended list. First song and I'm in love. WOW.

Came here by accident, thoroughly impressed.
well this is way to underrated... my feelings gone crazy by listening to this.. it was like melodies my emotions wanted to sing but couldn't... well i enjoy the moment this is underrated, cause its very personal for me.. in case it becomes big and popular, i will remember my first experience with it and my time i spend with it :)
right there with you
The restraint in this style is soul drama. So so so good. A must listen.
This is one of my all-time fave albums. So awesome. Two guys, with shit-tons of creativity. Love it.
what is this album and why am i listening to it for the past 4 months non stop? How can someone make something so emotionally powerfull and thrue the music it can get out the emotions you are hiding from yourself. Every time i listen to this album, i wonder if the band understands what masterpeace they have made. I love it so much that it hurts.
Melhor achado que já fiz no youtube. Eu poderia escutar esse disco no repeat por dias...
youtube do nada dá umas recomendaçoes muito boas kk

It's 5 am and I've been drinking all night.

Looks like fun to me
I wanna be your dog
Thank you so much for posting this.
With you doing so, I think I wouldn't be discovering and listening to one of my favorite albums.
Thank you once again.
i think an album is very good when it catch you from the first track. well, this album did this perfectly
I'm so mad high-school me didn't know about this album.
Turd Ferguson SAME! This came out my junior year, which was particularly terrible. lol
it's never too late to go back to high school.
High school me only knows about this because he became my music teacher
@@stoplotion8510 Wait, you mean Kid Dakota was actually your music teacher?
High school me knew about this album and I still chuck it on over half a decade later. Absolute banger of an album
We are young and so care free - still one of the best songs ever written. absolutely beautiful. found this one 20 years ago and still keep it close.
This was released in 2002 though...
I could listen to this forever and never get tired of it
one of the most surprising intros ever
Wow. Glad I found this. Never heard of Kid Dakota. Hooked right from the first song.
I stumbled upon this while burrowing into a youtube wormhole. I LOVE THIS. Exactly what I needed this morning to accompany my morning coffee and smoke. Thank you so much for sharing.
Fuck i used to love this album. And glad I got to see them live and meet the guys, a small and rather obscure gig in NYC but the drummer was amazing! He wouldn't attach his cymbals instead pulling them out of a cymbal bag slotting them on to a single stand and whacking it so hard it would usually come flying off.....
the tracklist :
"Crossin' Fingers"
"Smokestack"
"Bathroom"
"So Pretty"
"Summer Cold"
"Pairin' Off"
"Coalminer"
"The Overcoat"
Bathroom reminds me so much of Kurt.... This band would be HUGE if it were the 90's... So good!
A lot of "Something in the Way" moments in this songwriting, esp. to start songs
Oh how beautiful. I loved it when it came out and love it now.
Cade os BR's que escutam essa obra-prima?
Que som do kralho, meus amigos, que som...

Visions of make you feel good, and then friend ahead
I'm in heaven.
just discovering by the randomness of youtube suggestion. ( : The beginning of this album make me think of Muse but with more soul.
Really good stone indie rock
Fucking raw-heartbreaking production, simply love it
this is heaven
cant believe it took me so long to find this album. anyone know the context behind the picture?
he got beat up at a country bar after he preformed
Nah mate he got blackout drunk after a wedding and fell face first on the ground. He talks about it in an interview
@@einarhodnelanddaae9755 he is the lucky one a few days and the injuries gone... the other one past the last Chance to run away... Now he's married.... 🤣🤣🤣
I hear he's working on on remaster/reissue.

Really?
This rules.
Ah ouais vraiment excellent
Sounds like Rufus Wainwright
the overcoat
Radiohead vibes! but very original

Destroying my ears, playing this with head phones on when I feel shitty, makes me feel a little less shitty.

Smokestack is my favourite
Still my favourite, but now with more memories attached to it

+RapathyK yep

i think it is the artist
RapathyK yes
Yes, it is a picture of the artist that was taken in Providence, RI on Hope Street in 1998.
is it just me or they sounds like queens of the stone age?
23 persons, 23 idiots supermarket music listeners, for sure. this is an absolute master piece. if you don't get it, you don't get anything.
ciciodesalome pessimistic much, lol?

weezer?
Hughie from the boys is looking kinda rough.
IM DEFINITELY VEGAN
You again. I bet you are not vegan?
tasteless ego deaths and fruitless melancholy. Pro choice, Anti Consequences, is there really a difference?
Haha , I like you . Anti-consequences haha yeah, this fucked my life up. Fuck social mores!
i want to be VEGAN
i have been vegan.
sounds if slint did a lot of opiates
Literally sounds nothing like that
Slint is already the opiate sound, basically.
hans niemann after being countersued for 200$ mil
Has a certain almost Bowie-like nasality to his voice
I love this album, but REALLY hate the picture
+Eoghan McGinley I love both. The picture is what attracted me to it, afterall.
