The Isaac Robinson forehand makes me think we need a Squatch Bags "Rare Sighting" award for these throws you don't see every day - someone get on the phone!
Looking at this course, as a frolfer, I'm getting claustrophobic. I can't pitch with trees and junk 100 feet in front of the tee. I need open space. Otherwise I'm in last place guaranteed.
Why would u? 244m hole so 800 ft par 4. Tee shots off a hill so why not throw a flat to hyzer 450 and then a 350 ft midrange shot? Its so much simpler to just play accurate golf as opposed to throwing a max distance line just bc the fairways big lol. Even if they did throw a big s curve theyre still throwing up to get the birdie lol. Once u get to a certain distance level and decent accuracy the difference between 350-400 and 250-300 is nothing. Same shot slightly more power. Simple
@@cornhub2445 Isaac Robinson would be the one player on the card hyzer flipping, if anyone would, and he went with a placement shot on that hole, using hyzer.
@@cornhub2445Yep. I like the idea of going big, but there's no reward for it beyond a certain point. Most MPO players can birdie that hole with good placement shots. Whether or not they can is another story, but there's no real play for Eagle there.
Jim Oates has been playing disc golf since the early 80s, been a registered PDGA member since 87, and more earnings than 99% pro disc golfers. He's won several world titles as master and grandmaster, with over 100 career wins since 1990. He's new to doing commentary, and with a little direction, should get better. 🙂
Why can’t we have Brian and Nate for the MPO as well? Even just Brian alone would be better than this. I love DGN and am happily subscribed, but this is just hard to sit through.
Nate Perkins does FPO commentary alongside Brian since Juliana Korver is playing this weekend. Typically on these Silver events Nate's out there on the course walking alongside the FPO cards while Brian and Juliana commentate. Then during the MPO coverage Nate steps in the booth with Brian. Then Nate does the MPO post-produced commentary hours after the event for Central Coast Disc Golf, typically with Connor O'Reilly. So I think they went with Jim Oates to give Nate a break. Plus it's a little weird for someone to do commentary on the livestream and then turn around and do post-produced commentary for the same card. As near as I can tell this is Jim's first day of commentary, and I have a feeling he'll be informed of the criticism, and hopefully get better over time.
It’s nice to see that the sport is progressing. So many open players being able to cross the Canadian border with clean criminal records. Hope they bring their eh game. They are really poutine in the time.
You can’t compare post-produced commentary to live commentary, it’s not a fair comparison. Your point is still true though, this commentary sucks (not Brian).

Jim and Brian are great on commentary--
Ha! That Simon Scene/Ace is Legendary 😂

Eagle's Dead tune
Fire on the Mountain
These thumbnails with Eagle have been 10/10
Too funny, that comment at 47:35 or so, taking the box from Isaac
1:45:00 okay. I think that's enough claustrophobia for one night.

Had to turn off the audio after so many "uh". Love Brian but the other guy sucks.
Ya that guy needs to learn that less is more
Jim Oates is the man! Give him time, he adjusts well on the course.
Interesting that on whole one none of the lead card throwers threw a flip up or an S curve shape even throw there was a good amount of open space.

@@NickCarroll exactly what i was explaining. Why would they go for a distance distance shot instead of just a flat to hyzer placement

@@cornhub2445 No I was supporting your point. My reply just now to your other comment goes even further.
DG network is lame af for not capturing Isabelle' Ace on video.
Should call yourselves a "network of Amateurs".
Umm was anyone else dizzy at tee 1? 😂
🎉🎉🎉🎉
Has the commentator dude ever even played disc golf? Not hating, just wondering why they have some rando instead of a disc golfer

The commentary is staggeringly bad. I love Bryan but the other guy keeps cutting him off and talking over Bryans timed commentary.
that guy just.....never...stops.....talking. Poor Bryan

oof, this oats guy is rough to listen to
Jomez commentary vs DGN is brutal. How they secured that contract is boggling. DGN fail every round.

agree, its quite embarrassing.
