Hi Julie! My name is Jorge and I was born in Portugal but I spent most of my time growing up between Malaysia, Singapore and Sweden. I used to spent many summer and winter breaks with one of my aunt who lives in Gothenburg Sweden when I was still in college. And by the age of 18, I decided to join the National Service in Singapore(my step dad served in the Singapore Police Force so I decided to kinda experience what it feels like for myself so I served as a Section Commander fire fighter Rota in the Singapore Civil Defence Force). After National Service I automatically became a neutralised Singapore citizen and then spent many years trying out different jobs primarily in the hotels and F&B industry and even worked at Shangri-La Singapore with my late mom(she had been working in the F&B industry for about 20 years and was promoted to head chef but then she found out that she had breast cancer not long after that(a battle she fought long and hard but ultimately succumbed to the battle on the day when I was assigned to work at probably one of the most high profile security summit event called the IISS Shangri-La Dialogue 2018 in Singapore). My apologies for going off topic a little bit there 😅.. Anyway fast forward today, I am happily married to the love of my life and the both of us are seriously looking forward to move to Gothenburg Sweden long term possibly next year or in the next couple of years. We’re excited to make new friends and to integrate ourselves into the Swedish culture and community just like how you and your family did. And hopefully we will have some guidance along the way with all the informations you’ve provided through the contents of your UA-cam channel! 🫶🏽

👋Hey guys, a new subscriber here. Chris, I do like the way you think & you appear to have a good approach to things & appear to be down to earth & have an open mind about things, which is very refreshing. It would be a much nicer world, if all men thought as you do. My family & I will be in Sweden for almost 1 month end of this year, so this will be a brand new experience for me, especially experiencing the Winter so far North. We're growing more excited now & literally counting down the days! In all honesty, we were supposed to travel elsewhere, as we'd heard much negative stereotyping regarding Sweden & the Swedes, but I thought to myself, the only way I'll ever know/see what's really going on, is if I challenge myself by just going there, meeting the local people & making up my own mind, so now's the time. Thanks for sharing & here's wishing you all well. Peace✌

Hi Uli, I really like your videos about your live in Sweden :) As someone thinking about also moving to Sweden, I currently try to figure out what the political development with the conservative or national party is about. What is your experience with that? I really hope that Sweden will not be a country affected by the development of the political right as some others in Europe, as for example Germany, where I am coming from.
I used to buy, among other things, cheap plants and plant seeds from the UK, but after Brexit I had to stop because it became too expensive: The fact that the UK left the EU means that when you receive or shop online from the UK, you must pay VAT and any customs duties before the goods can be delivered, and that means that you might as well buy the same things here in Sweden. And the notifications! Yes, sometimes you get them and sometimes you don't, but that is true also when it comes to buying from Swedish sources, and it has been explained to me that it is usually the seller who makes a mistake when they send the parcel; the simply don't check the correct boxes in their systems.

Don't go for DIF. The two big teams in Stockholm are AIK and HIF and they are respected, and lovingly despised, opponents of each other. The third team is upper class team DIF that most fans just feel mild disdain for. If you live south of the city I'd go for HIF and if you live north of the city go for AIK.
