How do you keep track of when a month starts and ends? By when the lord gets to his table?

Ya, the time it takes the lord to walk from the top middle of the keep to the table is almost exactly 1 month. And if you aren't using the lord you can count slowly to 12 (very lag dependent though) and that is about 1 month
