Thank you brother. As clearly you are one based on your comments to the other person on here. It’s probably wise to change settings on videos but I would like to think other brothers can learn from my videos (good and bad) if I leave them public. I just do my best not to get engaged in the back and forth with trolls. 😉
@@jasonnelson4107 I appreciate that and I appreciate you making this one public. I enjoyed watching it and found it helpful. I have my days where I choose violence and engage trolls and this morning was one of those times. I shouldn’t waste time like that; but it’s just something I do.
@@alphacompanytraining1969 lol! I get it man I really do. I guess age has helped me in that area. I just don’t care anymore about the negative things in life. It’s too short and this job is too great not to be positive and enjoy every minute of it. I stay out of the political end and the unhelpful commenters. I still always respect and listen to constructive criticism from folks who know what they are talking about. Be safe out there
As if working on a roof isn't hard enough, but to do so without certainty the spot you step on won't cave in, while creating holes you could fall into, while being surrounded by clouds of smoke? I'll pass, thanks.
This is one reason we advocate “pulling your work”. Not louvering. You’re wearing axes on your hip. Put the hook down and use your firemen’s axe to pull the boards off of the trusses/rafters.
@@thewestcoastoffense4039 Yeah we do that on commercials. Not sure why we don’t teach it on pitched roof/residential. I definitely see that more in the west part of the country. I like the idea , and appreciate the feedback. Stay safe brother!
When Hannah is here, I will go on a diet. And my belly will get smaller. And then I will go to first school, so that they can teach me how to put water on the fire on time and how to slide down the poll to respond to calls and how to wake up to the sound of the alarm going off and how to run to the fire engine when there is an emergency. Eventually, I can go work at the fire hall.
Bro I love everything about this video. Especially your explanations as it progresses.

@@jasonnelson4107 that’s a really good way of looking at it. Keep up the good work and solid videos.
@@jasonnelson4107 p.s. age is slowly getting to me too. I just have a little bit of that rebellious kid in me.
Nice video. Great job getting the roof open.
@@mihnic0504 thank you. It wasn’t as quickly as I’d have liked, but sometimes that’s just the way it goes.
Nice work
Good video!
Good job keep your good work
Can some help me and tell me why my firecam onyx plays choppy when I play it on my Mac?
Because you have a Mac

Good quick cuts.
What kind of gloves you using?
They are welding gloves 😊
Tillman 48’s to be exact
How well do those work keeping the heat off your hands? Heard about guys using those and they seem to really like them
@@davidsaucedo7192 they work great and only $10 a pair! I use them interior as well. Much quicker to don and better dexterity
Awesome man thanks for the response! I think I’ll try them out as well
Are you a volunteer firefighter or career?
I am a member of a paid, full time department. But that doesn’t mean a thing! Many of the best in the biz are “volly’s”!!
thats a bad ass fire

Now if only VVing accomplished something positive. Besides being a fun way to get off.
You are in every VV video complaining about it, whyyy!? 😂😂
@@brettmcdermott0524 he’s been doing this for years lol I’ve seen him on 10 year old helmet cam vids
It’s ok if not everyone understands basic firefighting tactics 😉
@@jasonnelson4107 Too bad you Children can't show me one real world video that PROVES it works.
Lol. Get back to me when you have a few hundred fires under your belt “kiddo”
