I know this was uploaded a couple years ago, but just know this is still helping students like myself. I was stuck on this concept and my textbook makes everything sound and look much more complicated than it really is. Thank you for simplifying this and making it more understandable.
You are very welcome!
Agreed!!! I am taking an online statistics course, and LU and I am struggling and it's only week two 😂😂😂😂 His step-by-step instruction was on point!!
The clarity and depth of explanation in these mathematics videos are truly commendable.

Your legit one of the best math teachers ever. your explanations are on point
Thank you!
! Great video. Class boundaries really show how there are no gaps - the upper boundary of one interval is shared with the lower boundary of the next interval
you are seriously the best! i have been struggling a lot this semester but your videos are very helpful. thanks :)

Why he chose each boundary to be 0.5?
Is it general or what?
@@AbdUllah-qs4ml yes it's general,
for lower we're going to decrease 0.5
for upper we're going to increase 0.5
THANK YOU !!! and best of luck clap for you

Thank youuuuu so much for the histogram explanation! I was just preparing for year 7 maths and i found this. I have to ask though what if there are no numbers / intervals provided in the first place and they only gave you the class limits, how do you find the frequency then?

Can someone explain how do you select appropriate scale for making histogram
what happens if ou follow this step for step and your class limits is leaving a number out? like i got 10 for my range in a problem and my highest value is 120 and im unable to get up to 120 ionly get up to 119.5 using this mthod
THANK YOU !
But sir we studied that in order to compute mode for a frequency distribution we have to take frequency density along Y axis.
Thank you!!!
Hi sir, is there a situation where the question doesn't have the number of classes which they want you to use and if so ,how do you go about it if the question didn't mention the number of classes?
Great one!
there are (2) 76 values.
This helped me so much.

do i have to add and substract the 0.5 from the boundaries every time ?

One thing that I am careful of is the class width. If you mess this up, you'll gonna go wrong with the whole thing. There are only few example of this. Thank you sir.

Hi sir, when should we use class boundaries? Because as i was taught we should use class boundaries only sometimes
They are for Discrete t Data. Here is a video about data type, ua-cam.com/video/iPfUQAqVhPQ/v-deo.html
Perfect
This really helps
You are very welcome! Please let more people know about our work, www.gofundme.com/f/free-quality-resources-for-students
So for histograms you would use class boundaries, and bar graphs you would use the whole number values like 46-56?
A histogram represents the frequency distribution of continuous variables. Conversely, a bar graph is a diagrammatic comparison of discrete variables. Histogram presents numerical data whereas bar graph shows categorical data. The histogram is drawn in such a way that there is no gap between the bars. Our example is Histogram for Discrete Data. Boundaries help to cover the gaps. Therefore, for histograms we would use class bondaries for discrete data(not continuous data). Bar graphs are for discrete data. When you have continuous data (such as a person's height) then use a Histogram, not a bar graph. Please watch our new video about discrete and continuous data, ua-cam.com/video/iPfUQAqVhPQ/v-deo.html, thanks!

Is it compulsory to begin the bars at the axis of the y and x...or we can leave a space between them
You mean "Gaps" between the bars?
@@helpyourmathstat no just the gap between the first bar and the y axis
@@zandilewonani3521 You're right. If the "Origin" is 0 or any number smaller than 46.4, you will have the gap.
So what was the P44?
well explained thanks
Glad it helped
