Even after the bombs fallen they continue to develop technology and are the only faction that have a plan and the ability to bring some resemblance of the old world back. At this point- it'd be weird if they didn't. It's tradition. Major overhaul/update, add a new batch of microtransactions, everything is chaotic or dysfunctional, and the inevitable hotfix that screws things up worse to fix something else. Someone finds a weird workaround, the community adopts it, and Bethesda hides until the complaints die down. Just like Todd intended.

One thing I wish Bethesda could've added with this dlc, is that these new quests were activated when you reached a certain XP level. Like how Automatron starts at level 15. These new quests start immediately at level 1.
I'm currently trying a playthrough where I complete every quest I'm given before starting a new quest. (it's harder than you think). I was already level 4 trying to take on Gunners Plaza (and failing terribly!). This is going to add a whole bunch more high level quests to my 'to do' list. Sean's never getting saved in this one.
rolling back mine now via steam console. Not worth updating one bit the ultrawide support doesnt even work on PC atm. It's exactly the same as pre-update stretched and not properly scaled. That was only thing worth looking for me as I play PC what a waste of a year waiting for this new update.
Modded weapons and armor are going to be better hands down. Also I would have started a new game unmodded for a new update like this. Till it's in a stable state and modders have a chance to update their mods.

no, because that requires me to believe they had previously planned to drop some updates, when this game hadn't seen any new content for a decade outside of creation club.
Bethesda had to postpone all of their Creation Club releases for fallout 4 indefinitely Because a few years ago a guy tried to sue because he thought the creation club should be included with the Season pass. The halloween pack was probably affected by this, and there’s still a lot of content for the Fallout 4 creation club that hasn’t been released

I feel like the male Sole Survivor with witnessing the Enclave, and seeing the flag and all the American phrases and whatnot would out of curiosity try to make contact with them before destroying them as he was in the US Army prior to the bombs falling. I feel he’d be a bit confused/conflicted in killing what he would think is American soldiers.

i found this out after unknowingly shooting a piggy bank at some of the gaurds infront of his shop, it is a second option fs but the ammo it takes has yet to be added/found anywhere
*Issues on Xbox:* * Mod page is broken, and displays 0 B of available storage, and goes into the negatives if you install any mod. Also some mods just send you back to the main menu if you simply try and view their descriptions. * Makeshift weapons creation club content entirely lack models. (Also in the plaza interior cell, a ceiling is missing collisions, you can jump through it.) * Tesla Cannon still doesn't have reloading animations * New Halloween TV helmet's screen display doesn't work with weather mods (Tested with NAC X Lite) * Free Creation Club Content is automatically installed, you cannot refuse to install it, and cannot uninstall it.
So for the echoes of the past stuff you can do it out of order. My game gave me All the missions right away. I did pyro and then they jumped me on my next fast travel. Cool thing is they planed for it since they have orders to kill you saying because you have whatever gear you took. It also puts you on track to the starting location. Also you don’t have to do the side ones. If you do the main echo quest you will get all the items just no legendary versions
Man this game almost 9 years old and there’s no option to fucking send companions back to their original homes it’s immersion breaking every time I go to diamond city and see pipers sister just there abandoned
You actually can send them to their original homes. All you have to do is when you dismiss them and it asks where to want to send them, you actually back out instead of choosing anything and it’ll send them to their original homes.
I always send them to their original place , but i think you dismiss them and cancel the command , but if you have sent them to one settlements before this it wont work i think
Doesn't break the immersion for me. Piper's the kind of self absorbed antagonizer that would do such a thing, and then pretend she's grandly 'doing it all for her little sister'. (I don't like Piper lol!) but yeah, just cancel out and they head back home.
Just as context for anybody wondering why you can't join the Enclave. It's because literally all these quests are from the Creation Club, all of them. Bethesda had little no hand in making these, thus, no dialogue or named NPCs.
If you have a settlement without a Weapons store in it already add one and it will give you more 40mm frag ammo... I have tested this on a few settlements and the ones that aready had Weapons stores didn't have any updated ammo... I even deleted the store and added it back and it kept what it already had in inventory... Hope this helps everyone...
Everything on my PS4 worked fine with no problems. I took on the 7 quests in a different order than yours came in but they all connected very well no matter the order. Was really fun.
Game seems to run smoother than it did for me on xbox1 can't alter my mods but they work and the free shit was added... Makes it awkward shooting the enclave as a member of the enclave tho
Wait, so America Rising 2 on xbox still works? Do you have any other enclave power armors downloaded? I specifically made sure not to update Fallout 4 on my series x so I could continue to use my mods, so I'm currently waiting until everything gets fixed while I play offline.
We also got some next gen bugs like completely invisible saw blade launchers and nail guns that shoot bright red ! Markers. I didn't get that far but that's the bug I've encountered so far.
I downloaded it and instantly everything in my settlements or inventory that came from DLC (Legend of 88 Vault Suit, all my legendary Lever Actions, displays, Longfellow as my follower, all my 45-70 ammo, contraptions etc) was just gone. All my progress into Vault 88 and Far Harbor was ereased. Talk about one hell of a bug! PS4.
Skyrim's last big update. This big update. All the mods broken because of these two updates. The entirety of Starfield. F76 I loved Skyrim. I loved 3, NV, and 4. But Im gonna be honest. I got very very little patience left for Bethesda and Todd. Whatever game they release next has got an extremely high bar to clear for me to even consider buying it.

Either they fixed the missing texture problem fast or it only affected some people. I was playing just a little bit ago and didn't have any problems with the makeshift weapons other than finding where to get or make ammo for the nailgun and launcher
I know everyone has their gripes about this update breaking mods and whatnot but I kinda saw it coming, if Skyrim SE’s updates wasn’t any indication. But does it mean the update is bad? No but there are clearly some bugs that need to be corrected. My game’s Concord is now plagued with the Pipe Auto Pistol firing sound right outside of the Museum lol
The update itself is inconseqential. But if we compare the content in the update vs the content from mods that the update broke.. yeah the update sucks 😂
I appreciate the free enclave content and etc, and I think the Halloween stuff makes sense because of the date the bombs drop. It's been 9 years since it's release and this is what they give us after 9 years. Imma just stick to 3, new Vegas and 76 rn

Same here but I did do the x scap knuckles and mod the special book) glitch so I thought it was because it's trying to do all the stats that are 10 so maybe wait a bit before playing and it might be fixed after

Went to this video after being ambushed by the Enclave. Randomly stumbled upon Pyro while taking on a Paladin Brandis mission. Took the armor then went to the bunker. After completing the mission, Enclave soldier suddenly SPAWNED inside the bunker. Crazy.
Can you please do a modded playthrough of this! I love your character driven stories within the stories. Loved both your modded playthroughs of skyrim and oblivion
Fugettabout mod lists until the modding community has caught up with the update. And expect a bunch of mods not being updated because their creators have moved on eons ago...

Fallout: London devs already said that they will release for pre-next-gen update if needed, meaning that in case of F4SE not getting updated, they will release what they have now. But people will update F4SE, because plenty of mods need it, unless the community just decides to rollback.

I got the same bugs while playing the make shift weapons pack, also the virtual workshop pack won't now download from the creation club, and the Charles town condo pack now crashes the game every time I try to enter the building maybe because it is where I was storing all my enclave gear like my tesla cannon from the enclave items packs.
I wish Bethesda added in body's that don't dissapear unless you search the body and can for example scrap the body and it dissapears because i like having a camp full of dead raiders and mutants
@@TheHulksMistress Mods make a game better. It doesnt mean the game was bad before. Right now, Im playing Fallout 4 Survival. Im flying around Wasteland with a personal Vertibird, which also has landing spots at all my settlements. Immersive traveling? Yes please. The damage mods I have set up make it similar to Tarkov, instead bullet sponge galore. The guns/scope I use are way less clunky than vanilla. I have a shoulder mounted M2, because I can. The survival needs are adjusted to make sense. I have way more hotkeys and QoL things, vs having to open my PipBoy every 20 seconds. I have 7000 more items to build with in Settlements. And 300+ hours of entirely new quest content. Mods make everything about Bethesda games better, and the only people that disagree are people who have yet to mod a Bethesda game. Its not the game needs it, its the amount of things you can do to personalize your game. Hell, even just downloading a more detailed map is worth it.
Of course not, and when fallout 5 comes out in 2034 you still won’t be able to and the enclave will be the villains again and the brotherhood will be the only worth while faction to join… AGAIN

My problem with this update is that its not content acutally made by bethesda, its literally just a few creation club things they put out for free, which would really suck if youre someone who already paid for it
I expected a little more from the Enclave. They showed up, got their shit pushed in, and then the Vertibird fight glitched out so I had to do a "killall." The weapons mission, Marvin killed himself with a piggy bank mine, so that wasn't anything spectacular. As for the Halloween mission, I don't care. This was not worth breaking years of mods.
I only care about one thing. Do we have more space for console mods now ? I stopped playing when i realized i didnt have enough space to install sim settlements 2 without deleting the first one.
The annoying part is everyone keeps telling me the power armor is upgradable.Unless it's the originals. I can't upgrade the devil I can't upgrade the unclave And if any of the pieces break there are lost for good What's the fucking point This isn't the mod it's literally Creator club.
I reinstalled it on PS5 and loaded my post-campaign PS4 save... and it didn't feel any different, nor did it auto-pop any trophies. Not worth starting a new character for.

I need help with this. On PS5 with a Fallout 4 that's never been modded, I try to do transfer save. Only one (out of MULTIPLE) comes up, it's kinda crappy since that save is literally from the beginning of the game. I have no idea why the rest of my saves won't show and i could really use some help figuring this out.
I just made a new save on Xbox series x that I made to make a mix of new vegas and fallout four and these mods fit really well....and with the Halloween mod I made a tiny ritual room in sanctuary

I wound up remaking my whole modlist because i deleted it before the update... then again i only use a very few SE mods so i think that might have had someone to do with my game not being too bad. Downtown is still a bit meh to traverse, but the good news is that it doesn't actually crash so i can deal. Also im sensing one of the first new mods to come out is going to be a patch for the new weapons and munitions.
Unfortunately if you download the update but use the f4se your won’t be able to play the game with mods through your mod manager, will tell you to wait for the next script extender update
Is recomendable dont download skins for weapons and armor because this can conflict woth another modd of community? Only enclave skins are the exception because they are part of the game now for this updated ? What another CC mods can conflict with another mods of community?
Bethesda screwed up hard. They should have done a remaster instead. All the fans were hoping the Amazon Series was going to be good (it is just good, not great, but was better than I expected). Microsoft is likely also pissed and Bethesda has been fighting them about developing the franchises at the same time instead of sequentially. Todd Howard likely had some rather nasty meetings with MS after this and it would serve him right. People have been screaming for a remaster of Fallout 4 and New Vegas and Todd Howard just refuses to do it. The numbers for all the Fallout games are way up. Fallout 4 is #4 on Steam Charts and they numbers are holding stronger than at launch. While Fallout 4 had much better initial volumes on Steam Charts they dropped pretty quick over the next several months like most games do. The last 2-3 weeks the Fallout 4 numbers though have not really dropped and there are a ton of Fallout 4 playthroughs on UA-cam and most of them are first time playthroughs. The people that are doing these first time playthroughs are floored by the game. They could have launched a full DLC like Far Harbor too and it would have sold like crazy and a remaster would have done even better. Literally Todd Howard just screwed Bethesda and Microsoft out of possibly hundreds of millions. Instead he is looking at a few hundred thousand in microtransactions hopefully off the Creation Club. To tell you the truth the weapons pack mod was pretty lame. The vender should have had a dialog to trigger the mission instead of reading it on a terminal. His location should have been marked on the map as he is the ONLY vender I have seen so far that carries these new ammos and I have not found them in any ammo crates either. To make it even worse he only had 6 40mm grenades in stock and for some dumb reason they were only $2 each. I also wished the Halloween power armor had more than just a helmet. I like collecting power armor sets. I really already had almost all those power armors off Nexus long ago. My favorite is the Raider Power Armor Chop-Shop. It is FAR better raider paint jobs than ANY power armor skin Bethesda has made. It has all the magazine paint jobs plus 3 new ones that look crazy good. Normally I don't care for Raider Armor. I also have the cut Institute power armor (the one without a helmet) as well as T-65 (which has decent Secret Service, Vault-Tech, Minuteman, and Railroad paint jobs) as well as Midwest and X-03... and I use a mod that lets some of the high end enemies wear them, even Raider attacking settlements (I thnik it is called Power Armor of the People). I'm not going to pay for the ones on the Creation Club though.

Even if the radio station is broken for the Halloween quest you can just go to the new cell and the quest will proceed as normal.

We also got some next gen bugs like completely invisible saw blade launchers and nail guns that shoot bright red ! Markers. I didn't get that far but that's the bug I've encountered so far.
My biggest problem is you can’t easily get the ammo for the new makeshift weapons
Yeah i only ever saw it solde by vendors and only the one for granade throwers and pigy bomb things not the other ammo types
I downloaded it and instantly everything in my settlements or inventory that came from DLC (Legend of 88 Vault Suit, all my legendary Lever Actions, displays, Longfellow as my follower, all my 45-70 ammo, contraptions etc) was just gone.
All my progress into Vault 88 and Far Harbor was ereased.
Talk about one hell of a bug!

Either they fixed the missing texture problem fast or it only affected some people. I was playing just a little bit ago and didn't have any problems with the makeshift weapons other than finding where to get or make ammo for the nailgun and launcher

I know everyone has their gripes about this update breaking mods and whatnot but I kinda saw it coming, if Skyrim SE’s updates wasn’t any indication. But does it mean the update is bad? No but there are clearly some bugs that need to be corrected.
My game’s Concord is now plagued with the Pipe Auto Pistol firing sound right outside of the Museum lol

I appreciate the free enclave content and etc, and I think the Halloween stuff makes sense because of the date the bombs drop. It's been 9 years since it's release and this is what they give us after 9 years. Imma just stick to 3, new Vegas and 76 rn

Same here but I did do the x scap knuckles and mod the special book) glitch so I thought it was because it's trying to do all the stats that are 10 so maybe wait a bit before playing and it might be fixed after

I made backups of everything, the game, the inis, the mods. And backups of the backups… I was not gonna lose my mod list.

Went to this video after being ambushed by the Enclave. Randomly stumbled upon Pyro while taking on a Paladin Brandis mission. Took the armor then went to the bunker. After completing the mission, Enclave soldier suddenly SPAWNED inside the bunker. Crazy.

Yes. It still does the sudden freeze for a second (series s) but it just keep going and doesn't actually crash

Fallout: London devs already said that they will release for pre-next-gen update if needed, meaning that in case of F4SE not getting updated, they will release what they have now. But people will update F4SE, because plenty of mods need it, unless the community just decides to rollback.

I got the same bugs while playing the make shift weapons pack, also the virtual workshop pack won't now download from the creation club, and the Charles town condo pack now crashes the game every time I try to enter the building maybe because it is where I was storing all my enclave gear like my tesla cannon from the enclave items packs.
If you update the game is the quests automatically on there or you have to have the creation club stuff
I wish Bethesda added in body's that don't dissapear unless you search the body and can for example scrap the body and it dissapears because i like having a camp full of dead raiders and mutants

Right now, Im playing Fallout 4 Survival. Im flying around Wasteland with a personal Vertibird, which also has landing spots at all my settlements. Immersive traveling? Yes please.
The damage mods I have set up make it similar to Tarkov, instead bullet sponge galore. The guns/scope I use are way less clunky than vanilla. I have a shoulder mounted M2, because I can. The survival needs are adjusted to make sense. I have way more hotkeys and QoL things, vs having to open my PipBoy every 20 seconds.
I have 7000 more items to build with in Settlements. And 300+ hours of entirely new quest content.
Mods make everything about Bethesda games better, and the only people that disagree are people who have yet to mod a Bethesda game. Its not the game needs it, its the amount of things you can do to personalize your game.
Hell, even just downloading a more detailed map is worth it.

My problem with this update is that its not content acutally made by bethesda, its literally just a few creation club things they put out for free, which would really suck if youre someone who already paid for it
I expected a little more from the Enclave. They showed up, got their shit pushed in, and then the Vertibird fight glitched out so I had to do a "killall."
The weapons mission, Marvin killed himself with a piggy bank mine, so that wasn't anything spectacular.
As for the Halloween mission, I don't care.
This was not worth breaking years of mods.

I reinstalled it on PS5 and loaded my post-campaign PS4 save... and it didn't feel any different, nor did it auto-pop any trophies. Not worth starting a new character for.
I was actually looking forward to the update with particularly the ultrawide support for the convenience so i make more room in my mod list. but hear the ultrawide support is stretched out in an ugly way :( but oh well lol Todd got me again
If you kill the merchant during the attack he has a Chinese grenade launcher but it uses mini nukes
I need help with this. On PS5 with a Fallout 4 that's never been modded, I try to do transfer save. Only one (out of MULTIPLE) comes up, it's kinda crappy since that save is literally from the beginning of the game. I have no idea why the rest of my saves won't show and i could really use some help figuring this out.

I just made a new save on Xbox series x that I made to make a mix of new vegas and fallout four and these mods fit really well....and with the Halloween mod I made a tiny ritual room in sanctuary

I wound up remaking my whole modlist because i deleted it before the update... then again i only use a very few SE mods so i think that might have had someone to do with my game not being too bad. Downtown is still a bit meh to traverse, but the good news is that it doesn't actually crash so i can deal.
Also im sensing one of the first new mods to come out is going to be a patch for the new weapons and munitions.
Unfortunately if you download the update but use the f4se your won’t be able to play the game with mods through your mod manager, will tell you to wait for the next script extender update

Bethesda screwed up hard. They should have done a remaster instead. All the fans were hoping the Amazon Series was going to be good (it is just good, not great, but was better than I expected). Microsoft is likely also pissed and Bethesda has been fighting them about developing the franchises at the same time instead of sequentially. Todd Howard likely had some rather nasty meetings with MS after this and it would serve him right. People have been screaming for a remaster of Fallout 4 and New Vegas and Todd Howard just refuses to do it.
The numbers for all the Fallout games are way up. Fallout 4 is #4 on Steam Charts and they numbers are holding stronger than at launch. While Fallout 4 had much better initial volumes on Steam Charts they dropped pretty quick over the next several months like most games do. The last 2-3 weeks the Fallout 4 numbers though have not really dropped and there are a ton of Fallout 4 playthroughs on UA-cam and most of them are first time playthroughs. The people that are doing these first time playthroughs are floored by the game. They could have launched a full DLC like Far Harbor too and it would have sold like crazy and a remaster would have done even better. Literally Todd Howard just screwed Bethesda and Microsoft out of possibly hundreds of millions. Instead he is looking at a few hundred thousand in microtransactions hopefully off the Creation Club.
To tell you the truth the weapons pack mod was pretty lame. The vender should have had a dialog to trigger the mission instead of reading it on a terminal. His location should have been marked on the map as he is the ONLY vender I have seen so far that carries these new ammos and I have not found them in any ammo crates either. To make it even worse he only had 6 40mm grenades in stock and for some dumb reason they were only $2 each. I also wished the Halloween power armor had more than just a helmet. I like collecting power armor sets. I really already had almost all those power armors off Nexus long ago. My favorite is the Raider Power Armor Chop-Shop. It is FAR better raider paint jobs than ANY power armor skin Bethesda has made. It has all the magazine paint jobs plus 3 new ones that look crazy good. Normally I don't care for Raider Armor. I also have the cut Institute power armor (the one without a helmet) as well as T-65 (which has decent Secret Service, Vault-Tech, Minuteman, and Railroad paint jobs) as well as Midwest and X-03... and I use a mod that lets some of the high end enemies wear them, even Raider attacking settlements (I thnik it is called Power Armor of the People). I'm not going to pay for the ones on the Creation Club though.
