I love your videos. I didn't know that romance 100% had to have a happy ending, so appreciate the info. Am I then right in saying that 'Wuthering Heights' and 'Gone with the Wind' aren't romance? Genre confuses me at times. x

A story that has a romance but doesn't necessarily end up with the couple getting their HEA (happy ever after) is often called a 'Love Story' because it lets the reader know not to expect a happy ending. So Nicholas Sparks books are often called Love Stories for that reason. I know it can be confusing, and a lot of books cross over genres as well.
