AP Biology Exam is 1 week away. I got a 4 without studying properly because the curve is so generous, I’m tryna get a 5 out here. My teacher is really bad at her job of teaching but you are so much better. You’ve taught me more in a day than she has the entire year.

@@zaynababdillahi no, they take out questions that the majority of the people got wrong and give you points on the questions that you got right. the curve is based on your individual performance.

Thank you so much for this video! My exam is tomorrow and I struggled IMMENSELY with figuring out a way to study for this class because none of my methods worked…my friend suggested this video and I cannot thank you enough for this!
I would like to suggest the Barron's AP Biology test prep book. I prefer the ones by Deborah Goldberg, personally, but whatever edition you go with, you really can't go wrong. I'm in grad school now, and the AP bio prep books are basically review of many of the topics I learned about as an undergrad. If you want to be a bio major, I'd suggest that book to not only help you prepare for the AP bio test but also to prepare you for many of your required biology major classes!
Thank you for making all these videos as this was a really good review and helped me get a better idea of what I need to go back over and focus on for the exam tomorrow. Best of luck to everyone else taking this tomorrow.

I’m so pissed. My class finished the curriculum two weeks ago, so since then I’ve been reviewing on my own. But my teacher doesn’t bother to do crap. She just sits at her desk and tells us each day we have time to review. The teacher’s job is to prep us for the test, and practice FRQs with us, etc. Nope. She doesn’t and has never done any of that. I’m so unprepared, because this class is so challenging. Even though I have an A I feel like I’m going to fail. This teacher really hasn’t taught us much, and gave us assignments that were way too easy compared to the challenging tests we got. I only have an A best she curves everything so much because the whole class is struggling as much as I am. Ugh she makes me so mad. I regret taking this class because she really set us all up for failure

i feel unprepared too, my teacher didn’t teach in a way that made sense to me and his class was always stressful. after 3 practice ap tests, i feel less prepared.

I did really well, but the format of the frqs was changed from what I’ve heard and made it really hard. I spent an hour on the first 2 frqs and only had 40 minutes for the last 4 under the assumption that the first two were much longer. I do find that the questions were listed from hardest to easiest though, so I was able to finish in time and review answers but it was very stressful seeing all of the frqs being the same length

Important question: do we have to know the carbon, oxygen, phosphorus, nitrogen, water, and sulfur cycle for the ap bio exam?
Broadly but yes. It probably won't be to in detail
I wouldn't spend time on any of those cycles except for the carbon cycle. You should know how those elements (and water) play roles in life and other molecules, but memorizing the cycles is not a good use of study time for the exam. For example, know that phosphorus is used to in nucleic acids and certain lipids, but not the entire cycle.
