Josh Peck (How I Met Your Father, Drake & Josh) joins us this week to give a glimpse into the amazing, film-worthy stories he has inside his new book “Happy People Are Annoying.”
Josh shares everything from the thought of having to grieve what he never had after the loss of his father, to the truth behind the media storm fallout that came from his wedding day and those who didn’t get invited.

Drake only made two tweets and they were pretty sad rather than mean. He didn't go on and on like you said. Also he can't text you on the wedding night when he found out after your wedding..... because the tweets prove it was hours after the wedding. And didn't he text you a day or two before the interview, showing you still interact through text at the very least. Despite the racist Mexican stuff you wanted in your reboot

Grew up on Drake and Josh and actually re watched it a while ago, I think it still holds up. Personally, I believe this is one of the best episodes of the pod, would be cool to see Josh return in the future!

Ima be honest I genuinely did not expect not even just him but any celebrity to be this honest in an interview even though it was a super a small moment, to hear a actor talking about arguing with his mom and talking about not working and maybe having to get a job is just actually refreshing to hear such candidness like that. I enjoyed this interview
I love LOVE he discussed mean creak and the whackness. People need to understand how talented Josh peck can be when given the ball. He’s such a relatable man. I grew up being compared so much to Josh , being an overweight kid who lost a lot of weight. It really changes your psyche and I love his perspective because this made not feel alone. Great interview

This was one of the most enjoyable interviews. I, like many people my age, know who Josh is from his Drake and Josh show but i have never really been a "Fan" The honesty and candor in this interview really pushed me towards wanting more Josh Peck. Great content.
Honesty? You might want to watch Drake and Janet’s podcast-or any other interview that shows pictures, UA-cam clips, TV appearances, and pictures of Drake and Josh together at parties pretty frequently. Josh has fabricated all of this, just publicity for the book. Which is understandable. But any adult of a certain age should be a little bit better at critical thinking, and looking at both sides of a story. Or at least ask how could there be dozens and dozens of pieces of proof online that Josh did keep in touch and see Drake pretty often?

I love your show! But please, let your guests finish their points. Sometimes you get super excited when they speak and start speaking for them. I do the same thing but sometimes they’re making great points and the direction changes when that happens!😃
This week’s episode is great, Josh definitely opened up about his past struggles. I am glad that he found happiness. A part 2 would be awesome.

First off Michael. I love what you do bro. You keep it real. You convey what I feel and Im sure thousands feel every day. I'm so damn grateful for this podcast you run. I think it maybe your life work here on earth. Acting is great but.... what you are doing here is the real meat and potatoes of life... answering questions like, how do we cope, why do i do xyz etc. God damn man, you are doing a fine job. And as for finding a woman. There is someone out there for you. Someone who gets all you quirky shit and accepts it all. Just keep being you man. Now on to Josh. Love this dude. Hes like a ray of sunshine :) Always makes me smile when i see him on video. Funny, honest, and what he had to say hit me hard. This whole episode hit me hard. Thank you. Both of you.

I’m glad Josh became honest about his relationship with Drake, and the wedding fiasco was not at all Josh’s fault and it’s a shame that people at that time weren’t understanding that they just weren’t close for Drake to come to his wedding, it’s a shame that Drake went down the path he did but it’s best for Josh to distance himself from Drake especially now that he’s married with a child
Drake is married with a child, too. But I see that Drake and Josh are following different paths as they get older. Josh figured out what is best for his family. Proves that people can change as they get older.
What part of the podcast
But now people are seeing that they were still very close, off and on. Like brothers in many ways. And now after watching the Drake & Janet podcast, people can see that a lot of josh’s story is not true-just promoting his book. Which is understandable, I think everyone does that. Josh saying he hadn’t talk to Drake in 10 years, or that Drake was posting negative things about him on his wedding night. We (those that know, or have read the interviews, and have seen them hanging out, or on UA-cam, on grandfathered, Drake’s parties) know that was not true.
But people do sometimes grow apart, from friends, and family. At least Drake is more sincere, and really tells it like it is. And has videos, pictures, TV appearances, to prove that he and Josh still kept in touch quite a bit over the years.
@@heyjarrod None of us really know their relationship. Media is different than real life. We do not know if they only saw each other once a blue moon. A lot happens behind the scenes of peoples lives that are not fully told. for all we know josh may have reasons for not wanting to be close to drake that he may not want to share...
It wasn’t necessary to take it online it was definitely a cry for attention.

This is a great interview/conversation, as they always are, and Mr. Peck has (and apparently always had) wisdom beyond his years!

Josh is literally always so humble, kind & funny. It’s awesome to see someone I’ve grown up watching grow into such an awesome person. Hope more good things continue to happen for him!
I just randomly came across this podcast ( I accidentally hit the podcast tab at the top of recommended page ) and I’m so happy I did! My husband and I are huge fan’s of Smallville and of you, and of course who doesn’t love Josh Peck. Great Podcast! Btw you look great and you don’t look 50.

Drake is better
I feel for Josh same childhood with weight at least :) Managed to drop the weight around the same age got down to 190. But it didn't equal happiness or people liking you more. Slowly put it back on, but found my wife and had 2 great kids.
I honestly didn’t know Josh before listening to this but I really enjoyed the episode. He seems like a really good bloke and found his story really interesting. I love how guests open up to you and are so comfortable, that’s because you are so good at what you do!
You should watch Drake and Josh it's really funny but it is better to have watched as a teen. But it's still really funny

I really enjoyed this episode. I didn't know that much about Josh but both my kids knew who he was. I now want to go out and get his book. He's very insightful and I cannot wait to learn more about him.
I just watched Josh Peck say he didn’t have any Jewish heroes, when hollywoods been full of Jews since the 60s..
It's funny to think that I basically ignored Josh Peck's career after Drake and Josh ended, but then once I learned more about him, he became someone I look up to a lot. he's such a great guy with an incredible journey.

I feel sorry for Josh that he didn't know his dad; he could contact his half siblings (I mean leave a safe opening of communication like an email address) They might have the heart to send some info (or pictures) while getting to know Josh (while taking precautions, of course, strangers) There is also medical reasons since he has children. There are many horror stories of unknown blood relatives marrying and having children; I sure Josh would not want to risk that happening. His half siblings might even know about him, their dad's actions and probably didn't want to intrude on his life; who knows unless an effort is made? (within reason, of course) This experience hopefully will make Josh a better father to his children. Otherwise, I do wish him and half siblings the best; they didn't ask for any of this.

I love this podcast and I love the talk about self centeredness when I was younger, I used to think it was a bad thing but the older I got the more I think it isnt a bad thing. Sometimes, you can't help but think about yourself, whether it's good or bad, and that's perfectly fine. What's not fine is treating people badly intentionally or unintentionally
It was nice kind of "catching up" with Josh Peck. I lost track of him after Drake and Josh, which was a show I enjoyed (as well as him on the Amanda Show and All That). Yes, he'd pop up on social media now and then, but it was good to hear from HIM and learn more about him and what happened after Drake and Josh. Also, I think I remember that whole Drake tweeting about not being at the wedding which yes, is just whatever. Totally makes sense why Josh didn't invite him after all the years and such. Anyway. This was a really nice and honest episode. He's as fun in real life as I saw in his character. I'm so glad he's doing well now and is happy. What a fun, talented, motivated man. I may be checking out his book in the future too. Awesome episode, Michael.

First time seeing him in a movie was snow day when I was kid. Watched that movie a million times. Then of course drake and Josh was just amazing! Wish nothing but the best for Josh.

same here. I was drawn to his humor and awesome personality and when I saw him eventually felt comfortable with his skin and started to take care of himself physically, Im like who is the "good looking person" now, Drake..hahaha I felt redeemed as Team Josh.

Lets just get one thing clear. How i Met Your Father, is the absolute worst garbage tv ive seen in the last 15 years. Loving HIMYM so much, it was like a knife in the chest. And it shows clearer than ever that Woke hollywood bs ruins everything it touches. Its so terrible.

Great episode but one note for the host, you ask good questions but you sometimes didn’t allow Josh to fully answer the question. Too much of jumping in with your own insight. Sometimes its well timed, but other times im like UGH i wanted to hear what Josh had to say more! So many unfinished stories because of this.

Your podcast is so cool. Words can't express how awesome it is. I see all the fabulous peeps you have on and it would be brain suicide to binge watch all of it, but I will savor it one at time. Keep on!
Another great interview. One negative for me though, sorry, and it's just an "other side of the fence perspective". $10,000 is more than most people will make in a short period of time. I understand there's tax and expenses, but it's still a lot of money and shouldn't be minimised by making it sound like actors at this level don't get paid much... There are people far, far worse off. There was another episode where the tagline said an actor discussed getting paid "nothing" for a role and in the episode they said they got $35,000 or there abouts... It's not "nothing". It's comparatively good money for the time spent at it. Yes there are expenses and yes there are unpaid gaps between work. We just need to be humble when speaking from a place of privilege, I think, and not minimise how well we're doing.
Anyway...
There's my rant. I did enjoy this episode and he seems like a cool dude and someone who'd be great to sit and chat with. It was fun.
first world problems: I didn't get paid enough for an acting gig but remember these hollywood people spend money as fast as they make it. 10,000 for them it's like pocket change to them.

I love this so much! Josh was a big part of growing up for me as well. I'm just about 30 now, which is crazy. He was always the funniest part of Drake and Josh and any other show he was a part of, for that matter. He seems so incredibly kind and eloquent here. His laughter is contagious. Way to kick ass dispite your adversities, Josh!! We are doing it!

I was so sad that Turner and Hooch got cancelled after one season on Disney Plus. It would've have been nice if the story had continued but I guess it couldn't find it's identity.

The most amazing part of his story was how mature and self aware he was throughout his life. At eight to discover the art of self-deprecation and then his instinct to learn from Amanda Bynes as a teen and then his realization that drugs would never fill the void at only 21??? WOW just very impressive.

Is it me or do the HOSTs go on way more about their stories, problems, past etc. and take up too much time of the podcast which in turn reduces the actual guests air time? No offense but I clicked this podcast to hear Joshes story not the host ramble on about his childhood.

This was a great episode and it was awesome to hear Josh’s story and he experiences in life. But I find it a little strange that he didn’t talk about the situation surrounding Drake Bell. He wasn’t even asked about it. You would think that would be a big topic for him to talk about.

I get what Michael was saying about a couple having a good time and your like F off because one time in school I was doing a nice gesture and gave money to a girl to go to at place to play pool during gym class and she turned around and consistently sat by me with her boyfriend and they were making out purposely in the seat next to mine to and from the trip.
I dunno if it’s just because I’m weird or bitter, but PDA just seems so strange to me. Even when I was in a relationship the last thing I’d want to be doing was make people uncomfortable by performing an act of intimacy that should probably be private. I dunno
