I loved all the songs in the season finale, so I just had to make a piano version of "This Day Aria". I was going to record myself playing it, but this piece is pretty hard! I hope you enjoy it! This song was pretty complex and hard to figure out. I apologize if some parts are off. I did this all by ear.
    A few notes:
    - There are some parts that speed up. This is intentional. If you listen to the original while playing a metronome, you'll see that the tempo changes a lot.
    - At 1:15, the song is being played in triplets. In the original, the melody is in eighths, while the harmony is in triplets. For whatever reason, the piano version sounded weird when I wrote it like that, so I made everything triplets.
    - VERY sorry about the ending.... I know it sounds extremely fake and artificial, but that's the best I can give you with a piano being played by a computer...
Original song: • This Day Aria [1080p]

I can't believe I found the original source for this song! I printed it out two years ago when I went to learn piano, the first song I chose that I learnt. How I finally have it down (a more simplified version my teacher helped me come up with though the sheet music) I'll finally be playing it in front of the school next week. I thought I'd never find the source! this is great!

Nah I'm dumping the project. I was using chords. But however you did it was a heck of a lot better, trust me. The chords in the song sounded awful, on a regular piano. Some guy on the mylittleremix forums found out it's because there was distortion used on some of the chords to add dramatic effect. So I've been working all day to conjure something to make those chords work. I've come pretty short unfortunately. Despite my epic fail, I'm very happy to see someone came up with a great piano cover!

Back in early March, I was listening to a playlist of piano music when I decided to scroll through the related videos. Then, suddenly, a pink mass, beneath which read roughly 700,000 views, caught my attention. My brain said "interesting," so I decided to listen to it. Then I listened to it again, and I began listening to many other fanmade songs. This song introduced me to the fandom, and I still think music is one of the greatest aspects of the community. And I'm proud to be a brony.

The episode was out for a few hours before a 5-minute color-corrected Vinyl Scratch video was posted, and got 100000 views. This is only to be expected from the finest fandom on the planet.

    [Reina Chrysalis]
Este día va a ser perfecto,
Desde pequeña yo esperé verlo llegar.
    Cada poni va a voltear,
Y mi atuendo va a admirar.
Lo que ignoran es que los volví a engañar.
    [Princesa Cadance]
Este día va a ser perfecto,
    Desde pequeña esperé verlo llegar.
    Pero en vez de celebrar,
    Con mis amigos, las campanas
Para mí no sonarán ya nunca más.
    [Reina Chrysalis]
    No me preocuparé otra vez,
Por un atuendo y un pastel!
Pues, yo en los votos mentiré.
    En cualquier lugar del mundo,
    Quiero que ya estemos juntos.
Confieso que él no me importa, no!
    Yo no lo puedo amar,
En mi alma no hay lugar!
    Pero mío él siempre será!
    [Princesa Cadance]
Mi caballero, pronto voy a llegar!
    [Reina Chrysalis]
    El día esperado veo llegar
    Para ser la novia ideal...
    [Princesa Cadance]
    Una boda si habrá,
Pero todo esto no es real!
    Shining Armor será...
    [Reina Chrysalis]
    Mío, sólo mío...

For all you guys trying to make sheet music...
I commend you. For example, a clarinet is in b flat. So its key is transposed one step above concert, because it sounds lower. This piece is in C Sharp major most of the time, with some accidentals. So we transpose to D sharp major.
The enharmonic of E flat is unavailable, as this is not in D flat major, for such requires excessive accidentals. What does this mean?
A clarinet would have 9 sharps, as D sharp major is a theoretical key. F double

One thing on this, when you get to the "We must escape" part, the melody creates a contrasting rhythm to the accompaniment, just straight 8th notes as opposed to the triplet feel

If you listen very carefully to the original song, "no" and "room" are on the same note. I originally wrote it so that "room" was one note above "no", but I listened to it again and realized I was wrong. I know it sounds weird. I think it sounds weird too. But that's what Daniel Ingram wrote...

(continued) Cadence is singing her part about loving Shining Armor, C# major is pretty good at suddenly bringing about a change in mood, going from darkness and sadness to hope and love. Idk, that's all my opinion, but yeah. Sorry this comment is so long!

  • @DJDelta0
    @DJDelta0  12 років тому

Not really. If you watch videos of the actual song, you'll see that the song/video is roughly 2:12 or 2:13. This video is 2:16. There's about 2 seconds of silence at the beginning and end of the video, so my arrangement comes out to roughly 2:12. Also, while trying to arrange this, I was playing a metronome while listening to the original. So I know what tempo to use. And the reason some parts are faster than others is because the original speeds up and slows down at certain parts.
