I'm watching this and I'm all teary-eyed 😢there will always be a special place in my heart ♥ for van halen Been a fan since 12 years old, now 51 years old, really miss van halen and especially eddie van halen my guitar 🎸 hero 🤟EVH, condolences to the van halen family, thank you for the great music and memories too.🤟💯
Thanks again, Mark! Even if I wasn't in this, it still would've been great seeing fellow Van Halen fans meeting and talking w Alex, and giving their thoughts to you after it!
Onions, those damn onions! Tears welled when she said, "I wrote the book for Eddie". Can't wait for my copy to arrive today. Won't lie - envious of your chance to meet Al. Good to see him in fine form, smiling and good spirits.
He's not a pastor. I love Alex but anytime someone throws around the title 'reverend' as he does, they are blind and deceitful. He had a verse from the Gospel of John on his drum stool last tour and it made no sense isolated from the context and chosen for a drum stool. Ed and Al were certainly gifted by God with musical genius, but as Jesus said, God gives good gifts even to those who hate Him (Matt 5:45).
@@dspencer1201 Alex has his Pastoral license and he along with Ed were raised Catholic like his Mother n Father .. Valerie and Ed were married in a Catholic Church she to was raised Catholic..While both families were born and raised Catholic both Ed and Alex along with Valerie they stopped attending Mass ..They still believe in God ..
@@avarose316 They were married in a catholic church but they were also both on coke during the ceremony so that doesn't mean much. Great musicians or anyone anywhere can sincerely believe in God but even the devil believes in God (James 2:19). Of course the devil knows God is Almighty and the Lord who reigns over all - the devil was an angel in heaven before he rebelled and God cursed him and cast him out (Isaiah 14; Ezekiel 28). It seems Alex is actually a freemason which is a cult and like scientology, lets their members in on more of their teachings as they work their way up the ranks. Scientology says God is of a god of darkness and lucifer (the devil) is of the light. Freemasonry is deceptive and evil.
I was more worried about Alex than almost anyone else (Wolfie too) when Eddie passed away. It was just a very strong feeling about his suffering in particular that I had. Very odd. RIP Eddie ♥️
Well there you have it - beginning, middle, and end to all things in this life. No more live performances from Alex but is it because of Ed or his back injury? Thanks for posting!
People have a tendency to act over animated at these kinds of events but very cool to see Alex make a public appearance again, I believe first time since 2015 when the Van Halen tour ended.
Im going through the audio book kind of slowly. He talks a little fast and I want to soak up the details. Been a fan since 78 when I was 5 and heard Running With The Devil. Excellent drummer as well
I waited in line maybe a little over two hours. You had to buy tickets in advance. 500 of them were sold, they didn’t let anyone in after that. I was probably 3/4 of the way in the line, definitely the back half.

The Mighty Van Halen performing Great as usual, Brother Edward looking down with joy.
Alex is a Pastor now. he gave his life to God after the passing of There Dad back in 1988. The Gift that both of them had was given to them by God.

What a treat! Can I ask you how long you stood in line for/When you got there? Did you have to buy tix or was it a lottery?
