And this is why people on the road get blinded. Look for the markings on the headlight. Most are 1.0 % . At 20 ft the top of the beam should be 1% below the level of the centre of the headlight. So 2.4 inches
If they don't have a brain then they set the lights super heigh. I'm just showing people how to adjust the lights, not necessarily what the right position is. It also depends on where you live - flat vs mountain region
Hi, Thanks for the video, BUT :-) the car needs to be 20 ft. away from the wall, then you measure the distance from the floor to the center of the headlight lamp; go to the wall and place a mark (blue tape) on the wall with the same distance from the ground and adjust the top of the beam to the marking.
Hi, yeah I know what you are saying and thanks for explaining. I'm just showing how to adjust the height, not how to set proper distance. I've also seen that sometimes measured height is not good enough
I have a 2012 Audi A7 with the full led headlights. I do see the adjustment screws, my question is I’ve seen some people say you need to adjust through VCDS is this true? Or will I be fine adjusting via the screws?
My logic is that if they only wanted people doing adjustments through the computer, why would they put the screw? You can use the screw, but yes adjustment through VCDs is possible too.
Felek, not that I am aware of. It is a 2016 a4. I lowered it 1.5” and I have tint on the windshield and I can’t see at all tonight. A buddy told me I might get a code if I manually adjust without using a scan tool 🤷🏻♂️ it’s been keeping me from doing it. After watching this and you saying you didn’t I’m gonna go ahead and give it a try

Thank you very much my brother
Thanks very useful for me
Did you get a code after adjusting the screw?
No, it's physical adjustment, shouldn't throw any codes, unless you have some system integrated with lights?
