*Steam Whistle Issue:*
The Tank must have a heat source beneath it for the Whistle to function (shown in the Ponder). Non-player conductors will also blow the whistles shortly before arriving at distant stations.
*Casing Train Tracks with Slabs:*
This is actually a Create Mod add-on called "Create: Steam n' Rails." If you want to beautify the rails by encasing them, just like Shaft is encased by Andesite and Brass Casings, you need to download the add-on.
*Crane's Sequence Gearshift:*
To be honest, I haven't played Create myself due to my Old Computer, but I'll help anyway i can! This is the sequence I came up with:

Turn | 180° |
Await New Redstone Pulse
Turn | 180° |
You could make the flying Scotsman passenger train and connect it to the village. Easy access to all of your slavery needs.
I don’t know the create mod too well, but it would be cool if you had a train signal to show when the train is coming

I think you should make a 'train incoming' alarm like a bell ringing whenever the train enters that area, to warn people to get off the tracks before they get squashed. I imagine this would be possible with some simple redstone?
I was going to comment something like that too! Probably not chime too much like real train tracks because that would get really annoying real quick, but even 1-3 chimes when it is approaching would be great. Maybe have it at the logging site too?
I’m in love with this play through. I’ve watched your channel for at least a year, hopefully longer, so I stuck through create mod towards the beginning even though I wasn’t a huge fan at first, however I started REALLY enjoying it two or three episodes in, now I’m hooked. Thank you for your videos!
Yeah they’re super relaxed and smooth, he’s awesome to watch. Super enjoyable.
If you have adjusted your sound settings then that’s maybe why you cannot here the train whistle.
The sound settings for the whistle are the block sounds and the friendly creature sounds (I know it’s weird).
Also try manually controlling the train & holding ctrl as that will toot the train whistle. Another cool thing is that the bells also work on trains so you might wanna give that a shot.
To further expand you can hit the steam whistle with a wrench to adjust pitch and design of the steam whistle slightly
Take a shot every time DB says "I forgot X", "Chuck that in/right there", or "Give me a second". Invite the rest of us to your funeral. 🤣
You should make another carriage for the train that could be a passenger spot for you so you don’t get stuck and could you also add lights to the train 🚂
In terms of assisting with lighting.
You can craft a Haunted Bell block which when held in your offhand. Will spawn soul particles around you in areas that are considered dark enough for mobs to spawn.
It is very useful to mob proof areas.
be careful with that mob farm. the opening that you hit the mobs thru look to be 1 full block sized gap so any babies might be able to run thru the gap. Might want to do sometime to make the gap a little smaller such as putting something slightly thicker than a slab on top of the hoppers (maybe Create Depots or Create Saws, which would not only reduce the gap but also probably grab any loot that drops to keep the loot from flying all over the place)

Copycat panel will not stop the baby zombie. Unfortunately slab will have to be used 😢
A sequenced gearshift is a set of instructions. You need to set the sequenced gearshift with a list of commands like if it were a train schedule.
To do this.
1. Turn by angle - 180 degrees forward input
2. Timed delay - (2-10 seconds)
3. Turn by angle - 180 degrees backwards input.
4. Timed delay - (2-10 seconds)
5. End
This setup should get your crane to work. The timed delay will be the trickiest part as it is a matter of timing how long the crane takes to turn the full 180 degrees.
You will need to count how long it takes for the crane to do a full 180 degrees. In order to get the timed delay input right.
In theory this should work. An issue you had in the vid was not adding ANOTHER timed delay as you need to space out the turn points. Like I said, the sequenced gearshift is a set of instructions like a train schedule. So once it gets tot he end of the instructions it will repeat from the very beginning.

at that point i'd say all you have to do is make a timer that is LONGER then one cycle of all 3 steps combined.
say it takes 10 seconds for the crane do everything AND return to start, you'd need a 10.1+ seconds timer that re-starts the 3 steps every time.
never used it before, but i imagine you need to pump water into the fluid tank on your train, then the steam whistle should work

to answer the steam whistle, check the audio. No heat is required on trains, and its an entity noise on a train
A video that i would love to see is that he sets up Frank between 4 glass walls sort of like a + shape and then at the end of each path is a sign with a different idea like: glass factory, coal factory, make a more efficient and cooler villager trading hall, make a train hangar etc and then whichever one Frank walks to you build!
Request: You should get the Create: Enchantment Industries Add-On to your world! It can allow you to store EXP into Fluid Tanks, Auto Enchant weapons and gear (and Auto Disenchant Weapons and Gear with unnecessary enchants, make Mob Farming better, AND duplicate Enchanted Books like that Luck I Book you got from one of those Spawn Rooms! :)

The issue of being Stuck in the train seat is a very common issue with the create mod. It’s due to having blocks directly above the seat. So adding an extra block space above the seat can assist in that issue.
If you find yourself in that issue again you can wrench the train and place it onto the track to move the train away from you, thus freeing you from being trapped.
(Although there is a small possibility of being killed by wrenching the train while being in it) 😅

Btw, re-sending a redstone signal into your sequenced gearshift won't reset it if it's already executing actions. Use a "wait for new redstone pulse" instruction line.
It could look like this :
"Turn 135° Forward
Wait for new redstone pulse (here you detect it's executing 2nd instruction, and you send it a new redstone pulse and make sure it's not already powered)
Turn 135° Backwards"
You detect it's stopped, and you power it to re-launch it, once again making sure it's not already powered.

If you wear copper diving boots. They will stop you from being taken from the belts. Meaning that you can traverse and walk on belts without being pulled away.
Add to the city by finding a village to transfer the villagers to homes in the city and for each type of villager(i.e. librarian) make a building(library). Also, I really think you are a great youtube and this was the first channel I ever commented on!

Also you can’t just put redstone into the block with the torch you have to put a repeater into a block

Make some diving boots. They stop the belts from moving you when you stand on them. Really useful plus the full diving set is awesome for finding resources under water and in submerged caves.
The steam whistle might work if you heat up the water in the fluid tank.

If you want the crane to move whenever a train coming in, try using some of the same stuff people to make big doors.
Basically, use Redstone Links and Redstone Contacts to tell the machine to turn instead of using a timed system or whatever you're doing with all those other redstone bits you have under the ground. put the Redstone Contacts on the train and also where the train stops, and connect the crane and those Redstone Contacts using the Redstone Links.
The real reason why it didn't work was because you didn't install steam and rails. To make the whistle work. There's a lot of create add Ons that you can put on the create mod. There's one in particular that adds on, the ability to make a train whistle work. Also comes with other stuff too. And you did have the right idea as well. That's how you would actually do it. Hope that helps.
You should make it with you can't accidentally step on the train tracks and get hit by the train you need like some safety walls or something if you use the copycat slabs you could possibly make one of them the one closest to the tracks to blocks high and then go forward one and put copycat slabs in front of that

Regarding the mob farm, single spawner farms aren't super productive. You could probably find a bunch more zombie spawners, but I'd suggest maybe looking into other methods of XP acquisition for when you need a metric assload of XP.
They aren't exactly aesthetically pleasing but you might want to look into Nether based XP farms (or to find an ocean monument and to build a Guardian farm). There's a UA-camr named ianxofour who's made some incredibly simple mob farm designs that work way better than they have any right to, quite frankly. Not exactly pretty, but extremely functional. With copycat panels (for ensuring spawnproofing), I have no doubt that you'd be able to make them very pretty as well.
For the mob farm with the gear box. It wouldn't be that hard. Just put the gear box in the wall. Then on the outside, put something green behind it. Then surround it with leaves, then to make it look natural, you put more leaves around the back side of the build and going up the walls.
The reason you need a fluid tank is because the steam whistle requires water to work
Have you ever tried boiling a kettle without water? You need water + heat to create steam.

Tip you can solve redstone torch issue by placing torch on the side of the block and repeater going into the block powering repeater will turn off the torch

Bro while using copycat stairs u can put the needed block in ur off hand it will automatically fill it with that block

You need to use wool for the red stone signal to pass through to the block above it I.e turning off that other red stone torch. That might fix your issue with the crane
The add-on Create Crafts & Additions for the Create Mod is great for making actual wires for your power lines. And you can store power so that you can turn off things without wasting the power you produce.
Great vid as always, YUP we all get frustrated when things that are suppose to work don't .... with the mob farm you could automate it with a hand with a sword set to use... but you would have to supply it with swords... but also whistle ... it needs steam to work .. Idea: waterfall somewhere or at least a "fountain" Could be lava or water or milk who knows :)
if you use a deployer with a sword to kill mobs you can take out the items straight from it, and also get the xp stored ad items for later use

You should replace the iron blocks with copper on the nether portal
you can use create addon to replace shafts with eletric cables on towers
when a train arrive a station, any bell, broze bell, hunted bell will automatically make a noise
Also if you want to "Chu-Chu", press "Ctrl" when driving the train
I'm not sure about all features with this mod, but it would be cool if there was a oil, gas, or coal/charcoal plant! Again, not sure if you can, but that would be cool!

In the mob farm I suggest you are more mob spawners so you can have more mob to Jul rather than just zombies.😁
I think you should make a sound system to prevent the train from restarting
I think you should also make a rear passenger bogie for your train
for the steam whistle maybe put some water in the boiler so it can actually use steam to whistle oh and make a mine boar to mine land and ores easly

the torch was powering the comparator so if you put a block between the comparator and the thing it should work
my guess for the whistle is that the tank needs to be a boiler. so add water and heat see if that works.

as several other people has said, you need Steam and Rails for steam whistle and many other train features
You should make another train but for your transport to make it easier to get back and fourth
i think for the train whistle you have to add water and underneath it you have to put a campfire to make steam come out of the whistle
for the zombie farm i think if you add unlit campfires instead of the flowers and add the black and yellow blocks in front of the entrance. Also consider adding grass to the cow and sheep farm for the animals and to brighten up the build.

I was simply thinking of redstone like detector rail connected to two village bells, so if the whistle doesn’t work then you hear the “ding ding” of the bells before the train comes to the station.

Bro first you need to put campfire under the fluid tank of train and the to make whistles work you need to press ctrl.
