If this song was strictly about sex, wouldn't it just be "English Affair" and not "English LOVE Affair"? You guys are talking about how this is "obviously about sex", but I disagree. Sure, I can see how you think that, but let's look at the title of the song- "English Love Affair". If this song was strictly about sex, wouldn't it just be "English Affair" and not "English LOVE Affair"? I personally think that this song is about a short-term relationship between the boys and said girls whilst the boys where in England. Sure, there are some obvious lyrics referring to sex, but isn't sex apart of a relationship, especially if you knew it wasn't going to last long? And look at the line "Kissing in the rain"- is that hoenstly something you do before/after sex? No, it's an old-fashioned, romantic gesture. If you were to just want to have sex with someone, would you take all the time to have said person warm up to before doing it, or would you just do it while said person was drunk? And the line "The movie playing in my head" doesn't necessarily mean the memory of having sex, even though it says "of a king sized bed" after it. In a romantic movie, there may be a king size bed and a sex scene in said movie, therefore you would remember the movie and the sex scene with a "king size bed".
Just give this some thought.
