Funny thing is all the Longhorn haters, aggies and sooners failed to realize how happy this fanbase was after this because it meant Charlie was gone. Had he won he was gonna be extended a year. Why would any Longhorn fan be "mad" about hitting the reset button and not losing our coach to LSU vs another year of Charlie Strong? The bandaid was ripped off today. I bet the Kansas jokes were a great time for everyone but all Longhorn fans rejoiced after this because it was overIf you hate Texas you should have been rooting for us to win and another year being run into the ground with a terrible coach. Now in year 2 with Herman most should understand why the Kansas loss was a win in the grand scheme
Good point. If this had not of happened, charlie strong would of went to a bowl game that year and kept his job. But now we got Tom Herman, a great coach, our recruiting was top 3 this year. We have so much talent. Ehlinger only a sophomore is ridicolously good. We got a shot at a big 12 championship. Only thing in the way is Kansas on the road. And Kansas is better then they were in 2016. I really hope Texas comes ready this year and i think they will cause Tom and his staff are better then our 2016 staff was.
Ranked as high as number 6 and have stayed in the top 20 pretty much all season. And got a shot at the big 12 championship. And we are still pretty young, next year we will be in the playoff discussions.
I don't know who felt worse that day Longhorn fans or true Kansas fans. Think about as a Kansas fan you watching this reaction from around the country as a team that isn't having a good season or hasn't had one in a couple year loses to your school and it's a "monumental upset" most were calling it. Just think, lol your program (football wise) is so bad that this is the biggest win you will see while attending Kansas. As a longhorn fan just reverse all that it's a sick feeling.
The Aggies should have beat Clemson it was such a good game. Hope Texas can bounce back and start repping for the state again like TCU and A&M have been doing.
@DRZ 400texas is in the big 12 championship, texas tech is a pretty good team, plus half of our starters were out for that game. Almost our entire defense was 2nd team. If texas was to play texas a&m, texas would win im pretty sure... Texas doesnt blow teams out il admit. Thats because we are a pretty bad 4th quarter team and always let the other team come back. We were crushing OU 45-21 in the 4th, they came back, we were up 3 touchdowns on texas tech in the 2nd half. Then they came back. Other then that. Texas has defenitely improved. And is the best team in the state right now technically. I agree A&M is in a much stronger conference but they have lost to teams that lost to big 12 teams the past few seasons...
