    “All my little ants are marching in the right direction” 😂 that was hilarious to me. I’ve never heard it used that way. Great video!

    Very well done. I've been working with LB for over a year, so I'm a relative rookie. I learned a lot and will get some simple mandalas and experiment. Wish I could officially give you 👍👍👍👍👍

    Another great tutorial! I just watched your video on sublayers. Could this have also been done with sublayers?

      For the Shrek layers video? Not really since I was targeting specific parts of the overall where in this case it's only targeting a single shape. Does that make sense?

    Thanks for the video. Still new to Lightburn. Question. Welding versus grouping. Not clear on the distinction between the two. Could you clarify a little, sometimes it seems I've noticed instructors gloss over a function that they understandably think everyone should understand.

      @thetinkerverse  5 місяців тому +1

      A weld will take all of the selected objects and make them one single object without altering anything. Grouping just links the shapes together so that they can be manipulated together for things like moving or resizing. Weld differs from boolean operators in that it doesn't actually alter anything while booleans will remove parts of the shape through addition and subtraction based on overlaps.
      A good visual can be found in the documentation here: docs.lightburnsoftware.com/Tools/ModifierTools.html#weld

    Hello, I have a license that I bought in 2023. I would appreciate it if you could inform me if my license will work when I update it to the new version.

    I love lightburn and the ability to create my own files and repair others...but is there any way to make the art more visible? I can barely see the lines on the screen

    • @thetinkerverse
      @thetinkerverse  5 місяців тому

      I'm not sure I follow. Do you have an example of what isn't visible on the screen? I'm wondering if you're on one of the lighter colored layers by default. Try selecting your design and click the 01 layer at the bottom which is the black box and see if that makes them more visible. Just be aware that you're changing to a new layer so you'll have different cut settings.

    Can you do a video on the sub-layers? I haven't found anything that really explains how to use it and why you would wan to use those.

    • @thetinkerverse
      @thetinkerverse  5 місяців тому

      Sub-layers can be used to apply multiple operations on the shapes in a given layer. Consider text on it's own layer. Now I want to fill the text but I also want to run a line around the text to give me nice crisp edges after the fill has completed. Sub-layers is how that is accomplished. You would create a layer with a Fill operation but when you open it up you can add a sub-layer for a Line operation and that will be executed on the same shape.
      A good overview of sub-layers can be found on the official LightBurn UA-cam channel here: ua-cam.com/video/lLp1dvEkOlw/v-deo.html

    why don't you go to the settings and activate "Filled Rendering". Then you don't always have to go to the preview to see your result.

    • @thetinkerverse
      @thetinkerverse  5 місяців тому

      Definitely an option. I can show that in an upcoming video as well. I just don't have it on as I'm used to working the other way. And to be honest I don't flip to preview as often as I do in the video. I was mainly doing that to show effect on the work. But it's a completely valid point.

    Nice video, but the music is extremely disturbing. Sorry but that's just my honest opinion.

    • @thetinkerverse

      Disturbing as in creepy? Or did you mean distracting? Noted for the future.

      @@thetinkerverse If it was more decent in the background, maybe..., but in general I think that technical serious topics don't need any music. If it's fashion or art or "contentless" entertainment..., ok, but your good work gets lost in music/noise.

    • @thetinkerverse
      @thetinkerverse  5 місяців тому +2

      @@bernddkThat's a fair opinion. This is the first one of these I have applied background music to mainly to support parts where I'm in fast forward edit mode and there is no sound at all. but point taken.

    • @FranktheDachshund
      @FranktheDachshund Місяць тому +1

      Maybe just decrease the volume. I don't like background music due to difficulty hearing, but I can see your point about having something going on during periods of no talking. Just not so loud.
