From what I've understood from watching the Halloween franchise Michael is (1) a supernatural being who is powered by evil (2) Michael has the curse of thorn with him which forces him to kill especially his family and not be killed (3) he's a reject from hell which means he would not rest cuz the only place for him to go doesn't want him there, but I think every timeline in the Halloween franchise has like a different story rob zombies Halloween was a different story John carpenter Halloween had a different story etc but if u go for the curse of thorn I'm guessing Myers will be around as long his family lives and if u consider him as a supernatural being who feeds off evil then IDK, it was once said that Myers was rejected from hell so he's just like this unstoppable killing machine like immortal ,there's a theory that's never proven that if u behead him it's over but that's just a theory but as you've seen in Halloween 2018 Myers aged so whoknows it's all sorts of different story lines u gotta follow but I'm sure by Halloween ends we will know what is going on.
