Love your new lighting. I must go look to see if you did a video on your shelves I've been looking for a solution for my ever growing collection.I look forward to Your videos every morning with my coffee. Thanks so much
I really love how they look like and how they use all the space that is supposed to be use properly. I love too that this means more orchid hauls, im excited ^_^
I have 2 Sarracenia that came in the same pot, I keep them with my Phals for some bug control 👍 I love carnivorous plants as much as I love orchids lol
Excellent video on LED lighting Dani! I just picked up some shop lights tonight, which are 4,000k and I was indeed a bit concerned about the spectrum, but I think they will work perfectly for orchids (for everyone)! I like the keynote about the more even light distribution. Having the perfect Kelvin, PAR, and lumen value doesn't fully have the best impact without {{{even light distribution}}}! Happy growing! :-)
Hi Danny. Nice 😍. Soon your orchids will need sunglasses 🕶😜. They’re very efficient (45 Watts per 5900 lums), nice job shopping !! Hope your orchids will do well.
So a couple of questions. How far is your lights from your orchid leaves/spikes. My lights suggest 12-18 inches. Are your leaves touching each other. Thought that was a big Nono. I’ll need to purchase more lighting especially before fall and winter hit here so I will watch a couymore of your. Ideas. Maybe even the same ones a couple of times😀. Thanks fo your help. And I just got back from from my vacation and bought too many orchids😮😀😀. I was disappointed to see a spider hanging off a plant today but am using your recipe for spider prevention
HELLO, will any led light work? I'm wondering if I can move my orchids to a table in my family room. I have a five bulb standing lamp with LED bulbs in it. Thanks!!!
Looks great ! Sorry maybe I didn’t understand but do all the lights put out the same light, how do you manage the hight light orchids vs the lower light?
Hi, all the best for You in the New Year:) I am just now wondering to install such panels in my new orchid setup as I definitely need more light there. I would also not like to have the purple grow lights in my space. But I am just wondering how much natural light do you get on the shelves in summer and winter? Could you please give some numbers for illuminance? I would like to compare it to my grow space (not really a proper grow space, just some space with orchids😉) Thank you😊
Hello Denni, thank you again so much for your wonderful work, you are so inspiring! I just got myself a little indoor growing shelving setup, with grow lights (neon, not LED) do you think that small cattleyas would enjoy it? I hesitate to move them from a -not so bright- south-west facing window to my new growing space. Thank you and have a great day!
I’m starting out with 2 Phal‘ scandal you tell me what to buy to grow Orchids? I’ve heard Mars lights are the best. But don’t know what wattage an details in what to look for in a light 💡 I really enjoy watching n learning from you 😃few days later, I found a ANKACE grow light 40W dual head with 36LED would this be sufficient for my Phal
5900 lumens form a 1,2 meter led light can help only the low light. Co2 enrichment will boost your evry plant in there...you only need a methan gas burner like a gas cooker near by. Let it burn 2 min. evry 1 hour and they will feel it.
I'd be happy to send you some of my grow lighting I design. Full Spectrum. I can send some for you to do a giveaway to your subscribers as well. 😊 Let me know. 😊
Do your designs come with UV diodes? There are quite a few people, both hobby and professional, who want to experiment with its effect on fungal diseases.
Bruno Anthony I don't yet....but I feel a smaller light in the uv nanometer range will help with bacteria mold etc. I have designed a uv for water purification. Soon!! Great question. 😊
I usualy never or very rarely make a comment. But this time I decide to make one If they are not sponsored, then are quite costly. You can buy them now for 13-15 EUR. Pretty much the same thing. Any one who knows something about led light can tell you about numbers that you presented. I'm almost 100% sure they are wrong. Morelikely you have12W panel with around 1100 lumens at max. (small panel) Best of my knowledge commecialy used smd led have less or close to 100 lumens per 1watt. You can probably find that info on your GU 10 bulb 5W 350lm 39.90 € if the price is correct on their website. For price of one small panel you can actually buy 3 x 5 led rigid bars. That's 15 times 0,5 meter with around 7 watts ilumitation for each bar. I bought my 5 bars for less than 10 EUR now price is little more than 12 EUR Than you need two drivers because of leinght of shelf >> 240 cm. In your case 2 or 3 rows x 5 bars + 2x72W 12V ( both drivers cost total 17EUR) Perfect easy to maintain and cheep. One more thing. Can you imagine that you need to replace big panel (89.90 €) after just been in use 1,5 year. (expire warranty time) O dear I'll rather not. Very expensive set up. Good luck Danny.
Watched full video again just now. It's 3,6 meters you said. Somehow I have been focused on 2x120 and I totaly missed real information. Well in this case you will need to add 2 bars per each row more too fully fill up shelf length.
She does answer that question in the context of the video. Since she uses this space to film and also to spend time, she doesn't want to pink lights because she finds them displeasing and she has an eye problem that may contribute to the personal issues she has with the colored lights.
Watching your videos is a therapy for me. Love them all.
MyDanymax for me too, is like a relaxing drug
I could listen to your voice all day!

Honestly, it's ASMR for me. I love plants, so it's perfect lol

Thanks for the info. Great idea and It's soooooo beautiful! Congrats, Danny!
I really love how they look like and how they use all the space that is supposed to be use properly. I love too that this means more orchid hauls, im excited ^_^
This looks so much better then those purple light led panels
I agree. I like spending time with my plants and the colored lights make the plants look unattractive.
Looks wonderful yes lots better lighting than before! 😊
Light absorption is measured in micromoles. The useable light is called PAR. Lumens are for humans...for determining brightness. 😊
They look amazing!! Happy growing.
Great choice going for full spectrum LEDS! Indeed they are the best for orchids (and Nepenthes :p ).
Hi, these are not full spectrum LED panels :)
I have 2 Sarracenia that came in the same pot, I keep them with my Phals for some bug control 👍 I love carnivorous plants as much as I love orchids lol
Love them too! They are so otherworldly :)

That fake window idea is so cool!
Yep! Especially for rooms which cannot have natural light :D

Looks great!
I have small LED panels (from AeroGarden) & anything under them is doing wonderfully!

Hi Danny! I am a newbie for what concerns artifical light, do you manage to grow Cattleyas too with this system? Do they bloom? Thank you
Hi danni, I’m in desperate need of a new hygrometer, do you have any recommendations that are available on EBay?

Hi, thanks so much for your offer :) do you have a company or a store?

Shouldn't the light be blue or purple?

She always answers mine ;-) one of the best teachers you can find
