😅😅😅 not my village people in my dm telling me I have blown 😅😅😅😅
In Akuapem they even say please you are an idiot, they used please to insult 😁
I worked for some months with a media organization in East Legon, Accra and can definitely testify to Ghanaians being super polite. I'm a Cameroonian and while people in the English-speaking part of Cameroon where I come from, are generally polite, Francophone Cameroonians can be a little too rude. Ghanaians were really polite and tend to say 'Please' quite often and like South Africans, they are so organized. In Cameroon, you can be on a queue to use the ATM or enter an office and someone just comes later and goes right in because he knows the manager or something. In Ghana and SA where I've lived, this doesn't happen and i loved that. And women in both countries are so pretty too
Nobody calls the left hand "the evil hand" in Ghana. That's ridiculous !!. And when you're constrained to hand out something or receive with your left hand, saying a short apology like "sorry for left" normally suffices.
Thanks for watching! Be sure to like, comment, & subscribe!
With regards to names in Ghana, every tribe has its own unique traditional naming system. Aside from being named after the day on which you were born each child in Ghana has his/her name given to by the family. Those Abena, Yaw, Akosua, etc. are just like complimentary names. Even so, it carries a powerful impact on us because our ancestors knew each day is ruled by a certain energy/entity.
Ghana's constitution make room for all religions. All Ghanaians are expected to respect all regions. All students in Ghana are required to learn all religions in school. Although I am a Christian, I learnt about traditional and Islamic religion in school from Grade 1 to Grade 9. This helps us to be tolerant of all religions and remain peaceful. All three major religious groups (Islam, Christian, Traditional) offer prayers during national events. The president of Ghana must ensure balance in attending their festive events.
GHANA is everything you want to be, Ghana is a country where you will see a church and a mosque next to each other.
In Ghana there is freedom of worship so u can follow any type of religion u want as long as it doesn't impose on the rights of others but there are three main/major religion which most of Ghanians follow which is Christianity, Islam and traditional religion
This things make Ghana🇬🇭 peaceful. Because we respect every religious practice.
Please watch her other videos and also try Cameroonian food. We have the most unique cuisine and a lotttt of traditional foods
Usually people are tolerant of foreigners using their left hand. We know it’s our culture not everyone else’s.
@TheDemouchets i really admire both of you. You're all super chill plus you both look good, i love your vibe❤
The left hand isn’t a evil hand, it just that we see it as a disrespect that all , but we do use our left, am a Ghanaian and I use my left hand a lot 😊
In Ghana or Africa, in general, people eat together in the same bowl. Since most people are right-handed and use the left hand for #2, it will be unwise to dip your left hand in the same bowl that everybody is using. You can use your left hand to give things to someone, but you first have to apologize to the person if your right hand is occupied by saying sorry for my left hand. We do all these things out of respect for each other. And it establishes social harmony.
Day naming in the Akan tradition of ghana. I think our ancestors understood the stars and constellations
There r 3types of religion in Ghana, Christian, Muslim and Traditional religion wat u believe in u worship we don't discriminate others religion
I was initially left-handed by birth, but eventually, I adapted to using my right hand for all activities. The transition was challenging at first, but I had to adjust. It's advisable not to extend your left hand for a handshake when greeting an elderly Ghanaian, as it may be considered disrespectful, and they might express their disapproval.
In Ghana you could use your left but you'll have to apologize while you're using it, so as you said that you wanted to give your ticket with your left hand, all you had to say was, "sorry for my left". Glad you had a good time in Ghana, hope you come again. Merry Christmas dear.
in Accra we have The Ga Ada and gadambe language
