Ok now it's the planes fault ? Loss of altitude ? Ya I think it's usually indicative if landing . So military helicopters don't use air traffic control ?
“The jet collided with the helicopter.” Do you have eyes?! The helicopter crashed into the side of the plane almost like it was a suicide bombing. Why was that Blackhawk so close to the runway? R.I.P. to all involved.
The helicopter crew was at fault. Despite ATC and TCAS on the jet (though not active though at those altitudes), the final mechanism to keep those aircraft apart was "visual separation"...in this case the eyeballs of the helicopter crew who positively confirmed seeing the jet and the instruction to pass behind it. Something...momentary loss of spatial awareness, a distraction in the cockpit, another aircraft, or lights on the ground confused that crew. Ironically, good weather may have played a part, leading to more conflicting visual cues from bright lights - in bad weather the helo would not have been operating and/or there would have been more separation. There is also an element of extremely bad luck - even at slow landing speeds the aircraft would have been moving across the path of the helicopter at almost the length of a football field every second. Thousands of helicopter operations happen in busy airspace like this every day and collisions are extremely rare. On any other day, it would have been a near miss that would have never made headlines.

All I can do is send prayers for peace and comfort for the families and loved ones of those in the plane and helicopter! 💜
Incompetence has become very common in our military.
How does a night training flight path include active landing patterns at a major airport?
To train nighttime landings at a well lit and accessible airport and remain proficient and retain a nighttime qualification?
I think you answered your own question to be honest.
@MrCoolguy425 Doesnt the military have their own airfield and dedicated airspace for training? Seems foolish to mess with commercial traffic on final in the dark.
@ in most circumstances yes, and for most training they do. In this case for night flying the helicopter was following the river at low altitude for an annual night flying qualification.
That isn’t unusual, as over a river there are few obstacles and is a stark difference between lit terrain on either side of the river, and the darker waters is easy to make out making navigation easier. Unfortunately we don’t know what was happening in the cockpit yet and will have to wait for the investigation for why the helicopter crew did not attempt to avoid the landing aircraft.
It is amazing how people watching a fuzzy clip from long distance AT NIGHT can determine with such staunch certainty EXACTLY how it happened..... and they know EXACTLY who to blame.....and EXACTLY what the military should/should not be doing...... as they continue their political vitriol even in the midst of a terrible tragedy. wow!😮
Anyone with real ATC training would see right through this BS.
The cost of incompetency is unimaginable.
Oh no, my hearts are with the families of those who lost their lives 💔😢
I would want an investigation of the individuals who were training and the instructors.
There will be no investigation. Trust me because they don't want the truth to come out.
Theyre not with us anymore
Praying for the family members of those individuals affected in the crush.
Army Black Hawk had absolutely no business anywhere around that air space where jets are flying towards and into landing strips. And, what were they doing out there at that hour anyways and who authorized theur being out there this hour? They'd better get down to serious investigation. Absolute recklessness.
There*
They have the same business as the jet to be fair. It’s an airport, to have aircraft military or civilian land and take off.
Let the investigation finish before jumping to conclusions.
All the armchair expert analysts in here LOL! Meanwhile, I'm waiting to see how this is Trump's fault. Because you know the galaxy brains out there are already trying to somehow find a connection.
Oh, trust me they have already started claiming he gutted the FAA. I'm sure that was the cause!
They’ve already started. This is going to be a long 4 years
He said if the pilots had used disinfectants this could have been avoided.
You mean to tell me one of the most advanced helicopters on the planet couldn't detect a big ass plane heading strait at it with bright ass lights glowing? And the plane also fitted with sensors and big fucking windows couldn't see the bright ass helicopter lights?
They have no shame. I saw a news article with the title "Alaskan Airlines jet crashes into river"
I can see the plane not having time to avoid it
Pilots also wear NVGs.. idk what happened.
Damn skippy. Some one FUBAR-ed it. whether it was the Warrant, the Pilot, or Air Traffic Control
Best comment so far!
How awful. Prayers for all and the SAR people.
Flying in the dark/night is extremely dangerous. Though it looked like the helicopter deliberately ran into the airplane, there is more to it than that.
First of all, WHY was the helicopter anywhere near the airport approach path of aircraft?!? That helicopter had NO BUSINESS BEING IN THE APPROACH PATH, THAT IS SUPPOSED TO BE A NO-FLY ZONE!!!
Something fishy is going on
Thanks, Trump.
Because the government sent it there to stop the attack, because we our risk at and racist won't be happy until America falls.
That’s my thought
@@NomadHomadTDS
It was clear for everyone to see that a helicopter actually seemed like it was chasing after the plane to hit it. Very bizarre and now they’re saying that the plane hit the helicopter. What the????
They think we stupid , 😂
We are.
Who was on that plane that they wanted dead? It will all come out eventually! Prayers for the families!!🙏
Definitely a lot of unanswered questions. Prayers to all involved, friends and loved ones
helicopter in the wrong
Apply to the NTSB bro
So, you completed your investigation?
@@bobby-ov9qn I have and it definitely looked intentional by the 🚁 . They were most likely trying to stop the plane from a planned attack by the Russians. Nobody likes Trump or his racist supporters. Only racist or self hating Blacks/ Hispanic like Trump.
Whole families of young figure skaters of US team were on board😢 Children, teens, their parents and coaches. A lot of them russian descendants.
Yea, but who else was on that flight?
Yeah look at fly log
@OrtusMallum2075 Excellent question.🤔Could there be THIS ABYSMAL level of incompetence or something very sinister?🤨
In these moments you find yourself looking for something profound or insightful to say to try and help yourself and others be at peace with something like this.
But there is nothing. Nothing that can be said that will undo any of this horrible moment for so so many people. We can remind that God loves each and every soul lost, but in all his infinite time and omniscience he never misses his chance to say goodbye.
Is this another plane crash carrying a specific inconvenient person?
I flew out of DCA airport last night. There was an unusual amount of turbulence during takeoff. The river was still iced over in many spots.
And these are the “trained top secret clearance professionals”.
Who was on the American Airlines flight or the black hawk!!!
Things like this do not just happen!!!
Wonder how the Military is going to play this off and take 0 responsibility for the situation.
Trump is the dictator and chief of the military.. he is Totally responsible!! He fired all air traffic controllers and federal workers.. his fault! That is why no comments from him!!
By saying it was a military exercise. That’s the first step. Clearly there is something else going on
Yeah the “thing going on” is there is an Army unit that routinely trains and lands there. They made mistakes, and they paid with their lives. Don’t insult the service members that died by labeling this tragic accident as some government conspiracy.
Is there a debris on the runways or is the airport closed for no reason
No reason why that army chopper should of been next to the air strip that close .def done on purpose .wonder who was on that plane that they wanted dead..shady like always .the video shows the thing chasing and aiming for the plane..literally
You know how crazy people would try to make me sound if I posted all my visions. I had a vision of a helicopter hitting a jet yesterday at about 11:30 am.
That is remarkable
You should start speaking on them
@@sheedabeeda7213 I agree. Share your dreams with us.
Why was the Blackhawk training near an airport ??????
Because airports are big and take a lot of space? And military personnel can be transported into busy civilian airports? And the best way to train how to fly into busy civilian airports is to practice flying into busy civilian airports?
The blackhawk hit the jet. Not the other way around. Stop the spin.
This makes my heart hurt and the assumptions people make are cruel and unnecessary. We are all too quick to place blame. 😢
It is human nature for us to automatically try to fill in the missing pieces in our brains to explain something that we don’t know all of the details about. It’s not “wrong” of anyone to do that. People are doing it with the drone sightings and with the LA fires. It’s not ridiculous for us to do that. It’s not bad behavior. It’s human nature to try to fill in the blanks. It’s natural. When we are given facts and details we are less likely to do so. That said, I am personally a huge conspiracy theorist and the media DOES lie and spin. This IS a remarkable event - it’s hard to believe it was just an accident so people start filling in the holes themselves….
Something stinks bad

Why would anyone think it was a good idea to do a training flight near a busy airport
Training flights happen at busy airports all the time, that’s nothing new.
This is ironically likely a slow time for this airport anyways.
Ok now it's the planes fault ? Loss of altitude ?
Ya I think it's usually indicative if landing .
So military helicopters don't use air traffic control ?
Whatever the news says its usually always the oppposite.
Yup.
So there was no collision or crash, and they are actually cars that drove past each other without incident on a road.
Cool!
there’s something they aren’t saying
“The jet collided with the helicopter.” Do you have eyes?! The helicopter crashed into the side of the plane almost like it was a suicide bombing. Why was that Blackhawk so close to the runway? R.I.P. to all involved.
We need to know who was flying the helicopter (gender and race). I'm going to guess DEI hires.
Or trans
A UH-60 military exercise conducted in a civilian airport take-off/landing airspace is very unusual.
Not in DC it isn’t
@@JakeSmith-rv1hm
Agreed, it's actually quite common.
My question would be why the hell would military training exercises be in the flight path of commercial airlines? Is the DOD this careless?
Apparently this was normal practice. I was wondering the same thing.
@@Sbxallday
It is indeed a normal practice given a military base on the DC side of the Potomac.
@@bobby-ov9qn The collision looked intentional.
What are the odds that we will ever know the real, authentic truth? .00000001%
This is a tragic event. Praying for the victims families 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Heartbreaking.
Just happened to land in the water as well? You can't fly a fucking drone near an airport. There are so many protocols in place that this should never happen. Sounds like a hit job.
There is no way you will ever convince me that this was an accident.
There must have been a reason Trump gutted Air Traffic Control his first week in office.
@@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx481that doesn’t stop air traffic control from doing their jobs.
@@sheedabeeda7213 usually when someone is fired , they quit doing the job.
ATC didn't see it on radar ?
it lookslike the other way around, actually.
Shouldn’t be training in a city in the 1st place!
It will take a while, but the FAA will ultimately blame the helicopter pilots. This is a disgrace and a tragedy.
“Land now, Land now” Did’nt have time to say” there’s a plane directly in your path”. Weird !! Heard go here, go there without an explanation why.
All are dead.. but who are they????
Army helicopter or FAA “approved” drone?
All I know, is there's no such thing as coincidence. These aviation issues are happening for whatever reason. There was a fighter jet that malfunctioned just the other day in Alaska, now this..
Blackhawk or Drone?
Uhhh 60 passengers= 60 dead bodies. 3 soldiers = 3 dead soldiers. We don't need first responders to tell us to figure that out.
Dear Military, how about we don’t do training at night right next to airports? Absolutely senseless.
This feels like some irresponsible journalism. Please find out why the blackhawk was in the path of the runway, and please stop phrasing this like the plane pilot flew into it. The plane and its pilot followed protocol, the blackhawk did not. The blackhawk took out those civilians and the correct line of questioning to obtain journalisitc integrity is, WHY. Be brave and ask.
Why was the Blackhawks training flight anywhere near the airport?
Something is fishy. Thats all I’m saying.
The helicopter was in the wrong. It shouldn’t have been there.
That you for completing your investigation bro.
What the hell is the military doing training in the path of commercial airspace
اینا همش تاوان ظلمی هست که آمریکایی ها درحق مردم جهان کردند.rrrrrrrrreza
Potentially told to cross under traffic by the tower to remain in the pattern to land at the airport.
Anything now is just speculation.
We hope todays “politics” don’t impact this disaster and it’s investigation.
how could this happen with all the air traffic systems of today. there is no chance for survival in the freezing water. Prayers and sincere condolences to their families may God bless them.
wtf was the helicopter doing within 2400 feet of a runway??
It was a training exercise which is quite common around the airport space.
It is the Army pilots fault. But they will try and blame the AA pilot.
The helicopter collided with the plane. Do your job right.
This is HIGHLY suspect.
The helicopter pilot must have not been experienced and was in training. They should not have been training near airport flight landing. My condolences to all families. Im so sorry to hear this.
What happened to radar? Or was the flight controllers asleep? Someone needs to be held accountable now that we have a real Presidential administration.
