Sure do miss Flatt Lonesome. Was hoping a question would be asked about getting the gang back together. Maybe someday. They're doing what they should be doing. PTL.
I write this specifically to Kelsi, Paul and their entire family. I really believe this is how the entertainment business SHOULD be. By this I mean that work (performing) is for the FAMILY - it's not the other way around. Kelsi, Charli and Buddy have shown us that the most excellent role in our brief life here on earth is to be a father or a mother. Our jobs (whatever they are) are supposed to SUPPORT that. The world has it completely backwards. You can get into the entertainment business and it can become a 'runaway train'... (pun intended) and it can rob you of family and sanity. Thank you, Flatt Lonesome for showing us all how it SHOULD BE DONE. You family life IS an extension of your musical careers. It takes courage and guts and self sacrifice to do what you all are doing. I am a 67 year old man now. My wife and I home educated our three children... and this means we always only had one income. I'm still working... but I am not sorry. We were able to give our three kids the faith, the ability to think and, happy memories of a PRESENT mom and dad. I really do miss your voices - but I would not want to hear a peep out of you all if it meant you had to sacrifice even 30 seconds of the joy and fulfillment that comes from forming a child and making them fit for this world and the next.
