Hi Pat. Thank you for this video. Truly is very well done and has been a much-needed life saver for me.
I am doing my Masters and a big part of my research compares capital structure determinants of firms in developed and developing nations using data from 2 countries as proxies to represent said group i.e developed vs developing.
I am comfortable with the first part i.e determining a regression formula to find the relationship between the leverage and various independent variables for firms in each proxy nation. However, I am not sure how to go about comparing the beta in each regression to statistically determine whether each factor affects firms differently based on the origin of the country i.e developed vs developing.
So in other words I want to see whether there is a difference in the way that leverage of firms is affected by identical factors in 2 different countries.
I hope I am making sense. Your guidance would be highly appreciated.
