- A quick look at Manta with driver Vanessa Warfield. Manta was released in 1987 under the M.A.S.K. racing series label even though Manta was featured earlier in M.A.S.K. series.

I havent got the box, but I have this and Vanessa and Whiplash, the only one in complete condition left, plenty of other figures and vehicles, but this one is perfect. It's a great model anyway with some smart features

This featured heavily throughout the first series, and was slightly different in appearance: it had a closed roof, and all 4 wheels rotated to reveal wings.
Here in germany the Manta with Vanessa Warfield was a very hard to find toy in german toy stores. I remember that I was searching at least 2 years to finally find one. The Manta was always my favorite MASK toy and as always in such cases it was not available in germany like before with my favorite Transformers character Soundwave or GI Joe Hooded Cobra Commander. If you were a german kid you had to suffer or die from want :(

Yeah, I wasn't into the racing series at all. It actually seems kind of weird to me, but I love all the series 1 and 2 vehicles. Ordered a few of them yesterday. My bank account says that was a mistake.
Vanessa can simply eject the passenger seat if anyone who might be riding shotgun pisses her off.
is it me or shouldn't Manta and Raven's names be swapped? Manta's alt mode is more obviously for flight while Raven's is more obviously a boat...
And didn't Vanessa have pet Ravens?

Worse, never once, in the cartoon, did we see Vanessa’s feet (and I mean her without footwear). I’m aware she’s a villain (her equivalent would be a ‘villainess’), but she’d still have had reasonably nice feet (heck, she could even, for a villainess, have been into things like ‘Scholl’, where - again, even for a villainess, have cared about her feet). She definitely isn’t on the site ‘animated feet wiki’. LOL! imagine Miles Mayhem (her leader) having to keep buying her Scholl stuff!
