My fear is being looked at through windows, because a home should be safe, and to have someone challenge your feeling of safety by intruding on your privacy and starring at you through a easily breakable object scares me.

scoptophobia is real, its just that people seem to confuse being slightly anxious/unsettled by something with an irrational fear of said thing (a phobia isnt just being scared of something, its when you're *irrationally* scared of it!!!!!)!!!
I’m fine with y’know people staring at me or watching me, but like... if I’m in my own house, and there’s a big doll thing or black, 7 foot tall, six-handed creature staring at me about 5m away, um... yeah, I think I’d get a bit scared.
But if I was in a jungle and there was snow and I saw someone, I’d ask them to come over or if they’re ok
I think it’s less of an irrational fear but more circumstancial for me
The problem of this phobia is the paranoia, i am a little scoptophobic and i get paranoic sometimes, i always watch the windows cuz sometimes i feel that someone is watching me
I definitely have this phobia.
Not because I can scare myself with videos like these.
But when I'm with someone else, I just...get the feeling I'm being watched or stared at by them, or I know they can stare at me any time for who knows what reason, and i can't help but watch them to make sure they're not doing such a thing.
I can't have my back toward anyone because I can't deal with the knowledge that they might be looking at me.
Remember, switching to your pistol is always faster then reloading.

Apperently this phobia manifests in teenage years when the fear of being criticized or disliked by others grows into just an overwhelming feeling of shame. It's not just a simple phobia, it can basically be called a social disorder. People with ACTUAL Scoptophobia would be more overwhelmed by the sight of people in say, a classroom staring at them with a very "Well? You gonna say something, or waste my time!" attitude

I have the fear, not the phobia I do not get scared when something is watching me through images or stuff like that but I am scared of looking out windows specifically at 12:00 pm to 6:00 am without anybody awake

I never realized how scary even mario ost of all things could be.
Even if you don’t have this phobia, it’s still feeling uncomfortable when someone watches you or stares at you.
Let me explain how it feels to have this phobia: you always have the fear someone (or something) is watching you from inside your room, out the window, through your webcam, when yo go outside etc. All the time basically, It's so bad for me that I'll not watch certain videos or comment certain things incase someone is watching me and knows what I'm doing. Every 5 minutes or so I get up and look around my room making sure there are no people watching me or any cameras, I make sure my door is closed at all times,my curtains are always shut, if one of my family members or pets open the door I slam my laptop shut (my desk faces away from my door), I take my headphones off whenever I hear a noise, I have detachment issues (that's mostly for other reasons though) It's a living hell basically, I also have severe anxiety so it's just great.

I think the worst part of this one is that if you don't look directly at the face zone of most of these, your brain will create faces for them that dissapear when you look directly at them again.
i use the have this fear as a kid. This is why my minecraft house was a massive oak wood block with no windows and an indoor farm.

My fear of this kind of thing began like a year or two ago when I was living in the top floor apartment. I remember that I was playing video games or some shit with my window open, blinds and everything. I look over to the right and I see some random dude just staring at me from across the street. It was so surreal and unforgettable and the most terrifying part about those kinds of things is not being able to make out their face, and them just being a silhouette waiting to make a move. Scariest shit I have ever gone through in my life ngl, god knows why he was there and how long. Now every night I make sure everything is closed, window, door, closet, everything. It messed me up pretty bad.

I use to have Scoptophobia as a kid but just didn’t know it. It was to the point where I thought not just anyone, but everything was watching me. I remember anytime I got into the bathtub I would think my shampoo bottles where watching me. It may sound dumb but It really isn’t. This was the only time I ever really experienced fear in my childhood for a long lasting time. This phobia has died down into more of a fear now, thankfully.

Well most are. I am extremely afraid of many things, one of those things are crickets and other cricket-like insects (like grasshoppers and cicadas) but they don't really pose a threat.

I have this fear because when I was small my neighbors were caught looking through my window, they were later arrested that month for sexual assault against a minor.
This is especially unnerving because you already feel watched when you see these images without the edits or really anywhere but now theyre ARE things in there.

When I was a kid, me and my friends used to play in this old building. No it wasn't haunted. In fact, people used to live there at that time as well. It was just an old building with dusty and broken windows. There was this one particular window by the elevator of an empty flat which really spooked me out. I dunno, just the pattern of the dust on it made it seem like a skull watching you. Probably I was just making the images in my head but it felt like that. So whenever we used to wait by the elevator, I would close my eyes and try my hardest not to glance at that window.

I used to have dreams about a dark figure watching me from the windows. This used to happen frequently ever since I was a child. It hasn’t happened lately, but damn those dreams used to scare me. It always ended the same way. Me realizing that the door to my home is unlocked.
