I grew up here, and it's funny how we take stuff for granted when we grow up nearby. Now I love going back to explore the area! I'm so glad you enjoyed my ol' stomping grounds! ;)
That is an amazing first view! That ferry is cool, but slow. That church is SO small! Love any badlands. Thanks for filming and not dying. Swinging bridge with the little bitty kids~. Awwww... Beautiful area! Thanks for coming on the show today, Marti!
There's still a lot in the Drumheller area to see and do that I haven't covered yet - hopefully this summer I can tackle some of them! :) Thanks for having me, Kay - it was great to finally chat face-to-face!
Never been to Drunheller, nice short ferry ride though, looking at those rock formations makes me want to go though...cool little church...little guy on the bridge was so cute...
Drumheller is kind of like a hidden gem in Alberta - if you do come visit family, make some time to pop out to Drumheller. It is about 2 hours from Calgary but definitely worth the visit!
All of the above! My blog is downthewrabbithole.blogspot.com and I have a tab under the header titled "Posts by Country". If you go there and click the Canada tab you'll see all of my Alberta posts. My other social media links are on the blog too. This is what I love about social media: connecting with other people out there you'd never have the chance to meet otherwise! ;)
the metal posts at star mine make it wheelchair inaccessible. hope they could just remove one post ! I folded my wheelchair and crawled thru. too much work 🤣
That’s awful!! I didn’t realize the posts weren’t removable. I figured there were there for safety measures. I’m so sorry to hear of your experience. We should all contact the City (Town?) of Drumheller and remind them of accessibility rights. Thank you for bringing this up!
Wow; I’ve never heard of this! This was so wonderful to view!! I am in awe!! P.S. your little ones are so cute!! Thumbs up!! I also added your video to my #IAmACreator playlist!
I realized that after I entered the church and actually counted, but forgot to re-film that part! In my blog I state that the church has only six seats. Thanks for clarifying here though! I forgot to do that. :)
Sorry about that! This video is from when I was still taking myself to 'UA-cam School' and learning how to better edit and mix my stuff. Too bad there's not a function here on UA-cam editor where you can fix things like that. Hopefully the information in the video was helpful though!
I have no idea how I missed this comment. I think UA-cam might be deleting some of my comments, so I'm coming to respond to anyone I might have ever missed. :) Sorry if you thought I was ignoring you!
Have you been to Drumheller? What part of the valley is your favourite to visit?
Absolutely amazing!
It was a fun day out! Thanks so much for watching!
was here two weeks ago and it's simply beautiful!!

That little church was a favorite place of mine when I was a little girl! :)
Cool!!
Thanks Louise! Thanks for the support! Awaiting your Nova Scotia footage! ;)
Hippie sandals...lol
Aren't all sandals fairly hippy-ish??

Thanks for the video! So much beauty in our back yard!
It is so easy to take our local beauties for granted! I am trying to get better at being appreciative. :)
Great reminder of the natural wonders we have in Alberta!
The Badlands are pretty incredible! :)
Thanks for commenting on my video! Beautiful area!
If you ever decide to visit Alberta, let me know and I'll hook you up with all of the cool sights! :)

This place looks so interesting. Would love to visit and find a fossil someday.
Oh ho ho - then just you wait for a video I have planned for this summer! I'll have some great fossil-hunting tips for you! ;)

I grew up here and never truly appreciated it until I was an adult. I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for sharing it to your playlist!
Happy birthday Jessie🍔🍟
The church only has six seats, just to clarify! I am from around there so I know it well.

The music was irritating! Different unless it had been played (very) softly in the background!
