This spring after a period of rain I’ve noticed that water was leaking into the footwell from behind the dash. If tou have this same problem this is how to solve it.
Hi Adrian - I have a 2008 Ford Fiesta which has never suffered from water ingress until a few days ago we discovered water in the passenger side footwells front and rear, lots of it. This was after several days of heavy rain. I watched loads of different videos on UA-cam and was quite horrified to see Water Ingress could be common on Fiesta's from a variety of places. Most of these videos were from Garages that deal with tis sort of thing and then I found your video. And everything you described, the places it was parked and lots of leaves etc and I thought that sounds just like my car. I know mine is a 2002-2008 model but the principal is the same and sure enough when I removed the scuttle there was a large amount of leaves covering one drain hole and at the other end of the channel where there was a drainage sump that was full of sediment. I have now cleaned that out and I am confident the car will not experience that issue again. Well done.
@@rolldeep786 Yes that turned out to be the cause of water ingress into the front footwell. Drainage hole was completely blocked so heavy overflowed into the air intake. Once I cleaned the drain holes out it was fine.

OK, this is not easy if you're a female who doesn't know how to work on cars just saying I'm just looking for a drain hole in my Ford fiesta 2016 in the rear floorboard so I can get the water out
I had two identical water problems like yours, one at the back, and maybe the mechanic fixed it by doing something in the middle where the bumper is underneath, and indeed, they forgot to connect the parking sensor. I believe the problem at the back has been solved; I haven't seen any more water. But in my B-max, I still have the problem on the passenger side under the upholstery, and it's damp. The body shop guy says that there was a missing plug in the door hinge area. But now it's still damp, and I think maybe the problem is with the A/C leaking condensation or the drainage tubes are blocked. Or even in the hood filter where the windshield wipers are, there's a cover that gets dirty a lot, and there are two holes that could be blocked. Removing the windshield wipers is difficult.? I can't find how to drain the water out of the backseat floorboard
Hi mate. Just checking if your drainage issue is fixed. I have a 2002-2008 fiesta too and have a problem with passenger footwell having puddles!!
