- Repainting a chassis is so much more work than I could have ever imagined but we are getting so close to finishing! And this color looks so much better than I pictured. I am so excited to see this whole chassis in one color

thank you both! im not a huge body work and paint guy. learnign what i can where i can. but i just finished doing the body work on my 90 nissan Z32. someone hit me, smashed in my rear quarter. turns out it was full omudd. so i bring it to a shop to fix, pay 2k and when i get car back. the fender lines arent the same from left side to right side, passenger oem side, had a flat edge along wheel well, the driver side. was smooth all the way to the lip of the wheel well. def not the same. once i saw it i couldnt unsee it. they fn remudded the car and sanded to shape instead of doing the metal work. so i said fuck it. ima do it myself. 5 years later and over 3 dozen customers cars infront of my own... i have finally finished the body work and im prepping the chasis for a respray. soooo much fn work! i give you guys respect. body work is tough as work, its physically demanding art for sure. making sure to do all the steps in proper order with proper products to get that showroom finish. nerve racking.
oh yeah, i shaved my engine bay before doing hte quarter panel. to et my hands wet with body work. and to ensure i put so much work into the shelll that i didnt just sell it off instead of getting the quarter panel replaced. i had to source 2 different quarter panels to find the best zero rust one available. but fianlly she is all metal again! AND all body lines are perfect. so fn rewarding. but f body work. lol. i have 1 more z32 after this but thankfully that one is just a respray. then all build.assembly work. which i love n prefer.
but thank you both! this series is fun to watch and is also helping me prepare for my respray. val is a master with that spray gun. you can tell, esp in engine bay, how he is controlling the angle of teh gun to keep the spray pattern parallel and flat to the surface being coated. that def takes practice. muscle memory. thank you both!
Looking super nice!! Y’all should crack a garage door to get some ventilation going those chemicals are know to give body men cancer when working at shops that have poor ventilation it won’t be so foggy either. Not hating I promise it looks great!! Stoked for you!
