I’m a big time dirt racing fan and I thought it was the coolest thing to see the #2 trailer and merch truck parked outside the same hotel I was staying at in Dent, OH a couple weeks ago! Hell yeah!
I concur, Tailgaters amazing!! Their breadsticks are amazing!! Go get ‘em the rest of the season! Currently deployed so not able to make any Husetts races this year, but these videos are great!!
Great video David. I wanted to ask if you ever race outside of the Sprint Car circuit? I mean have you ever thought about driving a late model at Eldora Speedway? The million dollar race starts this week and I would love to see you at Eldora. You are one of the best up and coming racers and are a blast to watch. Just curious.
Excellent video , like the stuff in the pits , you need to take us in the road with you , like what you do during the week and what’s your crew doing . Good stuff 👍
Can't catch much of a break with the weather with Husets rained out. But gives them more time to get the track back up to snuff after the damage. I predicted you'd draw a 2 in the Dash if you switched hands. Guess I'll have to wait until Knoxville for that to happen. Not a bad track to draw the front row on. Best of luck.
Did you get sucked in on the second qual lap in turn 2. Looked like you just stopped. What a kick ass run thru the field. You snookered'em on the initial start and blew by a couple of guys down low. The car looked like it was really hooked up and you put on a display getting by all of them.. A caution or two could have given you an opportunity to get a podium, regardless you looked really good. Keep on Keepin' on brother.... it's starting to turn around so you must have secretly did something to get your luck changed. I'm going with the 3 rh turns. Bahahahahaha Peace
So people are asking to see more of the behind the scenes action, right?? So if I was your videographer I would produce a series of videos and I believe that you would get a increase in all of the parameters of You Tube. So here it is, I'm apologizing now for the length of what is about to come. 1) most fans do not understand the basics of how a 4 bar car works. So show the torsion bars and then install them and show how the car kind of "floats" (I call it that) on the bars. Go and see them manufactured and how they are rated. 2)show the rear end and explain how it works etc. same with the front end. One brake rotor, live axle, bird cages.... most fans have not a clue how precise the cars really are. 3) engine..... show the basic engine along with the fuel injection and how it works, show a mag and explain why it is used. Then let the car just sit and "hunt" for about 5 minutes and then rap it really hard about 4 times. 4)cockpit, show them your office and how the torque tube is spinning right between your legs. show them the procedure and why it has to be push started. and how you can control the fuel to the engine to make it run just right. 5) aero, show how the wings are put together and how you decide what rake you set the wing and how much downforce it provides etc. So that's just a basic idea of what I just pulled out of my feeble little brain without sitting down and creating an actual plan. Go to your engine supplier and see if they will let you watch the process of sleeving the block, honing the main and cam line, and balancing the crankshaft. all the way thru the build with the dyno run to end it. It would even be cool to me to see how they make billet crankshafts along with explaining how a roller camshaft works and why the complete valve train is build with all roller components. It would be awesome to see the aluminum blocks made and then the cylinder heads and all of the port work that is done to get the engine to make the ridiculous amount of horsepower they are getting from a small block platform. I am just rambling now so I will STFU Just some food for thought DG. Thanks for putting up with me, I know I get a little off the wall here and there but think how boring it would be without me. Peace
@@DavidGravel Sorry for bombing you with all of my idiotic rambling. I just know that when I got to play pit monkey for Chuck way back in the 90's I learned a lot about the car and I think it actually made my experience from the bleachers seem that much better. But that's just me... maybe I am way off base, I don't know. We used to have to pickle the motor every night when it was getting put away. Do you guys have to do it or is the Methanol blended so it isn't so corrosive. Peace
Are you guys @DavidGravel struggling to get your car to perform well when your in a traffic situation you know dirty air? Just asking cause you guys seem unreal fast when your out front in clean air but when your car is in dirty air it seems like your handling and speed just go away and it seems from a fans perspective like your having to fight your car vs when your the leader where your car just goes insanely fast in the wonderfulllll clean air. I think the rear tires have gotten too big and the top wings are way to big from years past and cars are just wickedly locked down and that takes the driver out of the equation "IMO" Your thoughts??

That was a great run. On that one start low you stuck it and passed. You and the team got this. Win is coming in the next 3 races. Love the videos.
Thank you for the nod to Larry.. had the honor of racing with him back in the day.. 💔

huset's facility was heavily damaged. it wasn't just the rain that got to them sadly
@@Tipzyyy I know they had storm damage that destroyed light poles, some suites, etc.
I was disappointed to show up to an empty track last night.
Top five not a bad finish.

Oh yeah, Wheel and tires, bleeders etc. Also, a drone would really give a new angle to the nights race. Ok I am DONE now!
Peace
the motor actually sputtered out of fuel and hurt my second lap. Thank you for all the info and information.

Great job driving buddy 👍proud of you and the crew 👏
You are my favorite youtuber!!
That was a great run David! You and the crew had the car set up pretty good.
Omg I love your videos
Loved the car prep stuff. A bit more of that without setup secrets would be cool
❤️y’all, keep the loud pedal down 🏁
