This spot welder is the best purchase i've ever made.
I've got some 21700 5000mAh li-ion batteries , let's just say i used 4 in series and another 4 series packs parrallel to make the spotwelder strong enough so total cells are 16 together. One cell is able to deliver 18A but i've measured 57 so it's more than enough for me because i also used 8, 4700uF capacitors and you know why.
And, adding some heatsinking is not a bad idea to keep the welder last longer. Mine just overheats in 6 pulses but i've made the traces with solder much more befier and i use direct connection to the battery so XT60 connector has no use now. It can weld a 0.3mm nickel to nickel at gear 6 but i'm affraid to use the highest setting to not blow up the board. And mine portable spot welder also has an active cooling and i bought 8 small VRAM coolers, they are like 1x1 or 1.5x1.5 and sticky thermal pads.

MOSFETs do not get hot enough to burn in any spot welding module. Even if you use them all day, MOSFETs do not get hot enough to burn. MOSFETs in spot welding modules do not burn because they get hot, but because they cannot turn off due to voltage sag.

Can you please let me know what capacitor you are using? Volt and uF? Thanks.
