I watched your previous video on Scripture writing and decided to try it in order to do something different. I've been in the book of Proverbs so I just picked it up from there. The first day I wrote out an entire chapter, and it felt a little tedious, as though I was getting nothing from it. So the second day I slowed it down so I could absorb more and think about each verse as I wrote it. That day I stopped after 9 verses. Today I looked up the key words in some of the verses because I kept thinking I wasn't getting enough from my study and even wondered if I should continue to use this writing method. Well, when I got to Proverbs 20:4 the Holy Spirit confirmed that I was on the correct path. It says, "The sluggard does not plow after the autumn, So he begs during the harvest and has nothing." I then realized that what I was actually doing as I wrote God's Word was plowing. That's the season I'm in. And even though we might not see any fruit yet, we should keep plowing up the soil of our hearts preparing it for a future harvest!
Praise the Lord for your insight in this! My husband has reminded me in a past dry season, when I felt I was getting nothing from an exercise I had committed to do, that a pledge often requires sacrifice. And he was right. Thanks for inspiring us to keep plowing!
Hi Sherry. I’m fairly new here. I have written scripture for years. Just written, never added art. My art skills are very elementary. After watching your last scripture writing video I decided to try to add just a little art. Usually it stresses me out trying to make something look good. I laid down the “ it has to look perfect “ attitude and just enjoyed the time decorating the page around my scripture. Wow! Today I completed my third day off of adding art to my scripture pages. I have flipped thru several times already and just looked at them and read the scripture. It makes me smile. Thank you. ❤
Praise the Lord, Julie!! This is wonderful. There is great joy in creativity and doing something fun that glorifies Jesus. I know he loves your art! Thanks for your comments here, which have encouraged me to continuing sharing about Scripture Writing. ♥
I too feel my artistic talents are blah. Was going to cut out some pages in an adult coloring book. Thought if I trimmed them I could tape them on the paper with my verse.
@@lisawilson8732Even drawing a wavy line and then adding some leaves 🍃 can add a bit of color …try oval leaves…next time a simple flower 🌸..maybe a few colored pencils to start. Have fun..don’t stress.
Hello Sherry. The Lord just led me to your channel, and what a blessing you are! I am 72 years old, a semi shut in, and I watched your video concerning why are we still here. It spoke into my heart. I grew up in a preacher’s home, have served in the church for most of my life, have a son that is in ministry, and now find myself at a loss for what to do. I love your idea of scripture writing and will begin this immediately. What a wonderful way to hide God’s word in my heart! Thank you for this idea. You are a wonderful teacher and God is truly using you!
Hi Paula ....and let me give you a virtual hug, from one pastor's daughter to another! Thank you for this sweet comment and you can know God has used you today to be a blessing to me. I pray you will enjoy Scripture Writing! It has meant so much to me. Thanks again for shining your light!♥
Oh my…..I’m so happy I found your channel! I’m 75 and have 4 sons and 11 grandchildren (like you) and I am an artist. On the back of each piece I sell, I write Proverbs 23:23 along with my signature. This scripture says…Buy the truth and do not sell it….so it’s my little way of witnessing the truth about Jesus. I’m going to start a decorated journal and begin scripture writing in calligraphy, it will be beautiful. Thank you for all the tips and ideas, you have the gift of creativity from the Lord and thank you for sharing your lovely channel for God’s glory.❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏🎨
Hi! I am brand new to your channel and to scripture writing to this extent. My teenage daughters are homeschooled and we have devotions together each morning so we are adding in scripture writing. I am so pleased that they want to take the time to do this with me. It blesses this Mama’s heart! Thank you for sharing and I pray God blesses you and your family!
I'm so thankful God led you to my channel! I have several homeschooling families who have incorporated Scripture Writing into their curriculum. It's a blessing to know these young men and women are being prepared for life with God's Word in their hearts. Blessings to you and your girls!♥
I love this. I have already shared it with 3 friends! I also admire your colorful clothing, flowers, and dresses. I dress similarly. It's grand to be a girl👸🤶💃
I didn’t know it was called scripture writing, when my father was diagnosed with incurable cancer. I started lettering a verse adding a drawing, or special border, to make it special. I did this everyday and it was such a balm to my soul during this difficult time. For five weeks he and I lived with my sister, who is a nurse at Mayo Clinic. It was the most difficult time I’ve ever been through, and I continue to grieve his sudden loss. It was such an encouragement to us all, we would listen to sermons, or music while I worked on the scripture and we’d talk and share so much with one another. I am so thankful for God’s grace to give us all those few months together! The SOAP method is something we used with our kids, but for the P we added that the application should practical possible and proveable. God led me to you and subscribed today, thank you! 😊
I love that you would give your parents your scripture writings each year for the year ahead that they used each day. That is beautiful. Thank you for that idea!
Sherry, your suggestions are excellent. I especially like the SOAP method. It really makes the scripture “real” and how to apply it to our lives as well as praying to live our life according to God’s purpose and will.
I used to write out scripture in calligraphy, or with gel pens, stopped due to outside influence, just started it again. I am now tea dying paper, making my own journal and writing out scripture with gel pens again. I also used pretty napkins to decorate a corner of a page, cutting out a motif and sticking it onto the page. It's a wonderful way to be creative while connecting with our Father
You should definitely try drawing. I started doing bullet journaling a couple of years ago, I was only planning on using stickers and I decided to start drawing and I’m so glad that I did.
Like so many commenters here today, you just popped up yesterday in my UA-cam feed. Blesses my heart to witness the Holy Spirit's calling. I struggle reading for long and I don't feel confident that I have comprehended what I have read. However, I love to write. You are the third person to encourage the SOAP method of study in the Bible to me. It must be the Holy Spirit's leading me. I am so grateful. Thank you. New subscriber.
Hi Tina! I think you would enjoy the SOAP method. I pray the Lord will prosper you and give you confidence in writing our his Word. Thank you for subscribing to my channel. I look forward to hearing from you soon!
Thank you, Sherry. A new subscriber, thanks to the Holy Spirit. Yesterday after watching you, I made a trip to the Dollar Tree for supplies, and began Scripture Writing this morning. I asked Holy Spirit and then opened my Bible at random. "O woman, great is they Faith; be it unto thee even as thou wilt." (Matt. 15:28) I'm used to copying verses in my journal but was coming from the mental realm more so than in Spirit. What a gift to feel an inner shift as I focused on the meaningful message that spoke to my heart (using the S.O.A.P.) method in your teaching. God bless you and your ministry!
Amen and Praise the Lord! Thanks for sharing this with me. I am so happy to have you as a subscriber and look forward to hearing how the Lord is going to change your life through this Scripture Writing Journey. Blessings!
Just found your video, I’m loving it! We as a family are going through deep waters right now, and feel the spiritual battle very strongly, I believe I’m going to start doing this and pray that God will use His word for a strong tower we can run to! Thank you for minding the Lord many years ago so I could find it today! God bless you and your family.
Thank you for taking time to watch and comment on my video, Belva! Praying the Lord will protect you from every arrow and bring you through the fire into victory. ♥
I've been reading 1 John and decided to start writing scriptures from that book. It's all about God's love. And our love for others. I have a 3 ring binder that is just waiting for me to fill it up! It only has one page so far. I just started last night. Thank you for sharing.
I just found your video last night I enjoyed it so much. We are going through rough time right now. My husband was just diagnosed with Leukemia. I saw this scripture on Facebook yesterday and today I started writing. The scripture wExodus 14:14. It really spoke to my heart. God Bless you❤❤❤
I love that you are scrapbooking for Jesus. 😊 You have been an inspiration to me over the years. One year, I bought a beautiful Happy Planner from Michaels and tried to do the SOAP method in it every day. Now I use a plain journal and try to do a little of every method to keep it interesting. I like to use the SOAP method, write out the scripture verses, use stickers, use a lesson book and/or record my thoughts each day. I feel like I'm journaling for Jesus. Thanks for your lovely videos. I hope you have a great summer ❤
Amen, sister! I love your ideas. I like to keep things fresh too. Thank you for sharing with me. And thank you for sticking with me over the years. It means so much. ♥
I found your channel this morning. This is the second video I have watched. I am a nurse and learned to chart using SOAP (Subjective, Objective, Assessment and Plan). So as I listened I was curious how you used the method. I love it! I am blessed to have found you. Thank you.
Thank you for all you do for others as a nurse. That is a calling from above. I am glad you took time to watch my channel and leave a comment. I hope you will subscribe and come back again. Blessings to you!
I just found your site. This is just what I needed. I've started to write some scripture cards to send to my son. This is a wonderful way to share the Bible and help with all thoughts related to God. I've tried to think of what ❤ do to please Him. And I think this is it. I'm 81 ,and I've talked to my family, but I believe this is much better. Thank you, and God bless. Carlene❤
Hi Carlene! Welcome to the channel and thanks for watching. I hope that Scripture Writing will not only be a blessing to you, but to your family as well. ♥
Hi Sherry, I literally stumbled (AKA hand of God)over your channel yesterday . I am 77 years old and am relocating to Flagstaff from the midwest. Leaving behind my church, my Bible Study Group and friends. I am very pleased to do this move, but it does entail a great adjustment. I have My daughter and her family very close, so I am not alone. But I am alone. I miss my Bible Study group as they always meet in my home for the summer. I am beginning to search for a new church and friends. I am so pleased with this idea of writing down scriptures daily rather than reading them. This will give me a project everyday to look forward to. I will spend sometime today getting to know you thru your channel. Just “in case” 😊you forget some days. Please remember the Lord puts your channel in places it is needed. I will add you to my Prayer List. Glenda
Hi Glenda! Your sweet comment truly encouraged me. Through all your changes, I can sense your positive attitude. I love that spirit you have. Praying the Lord blesses you in your new place.♥
What wonderful ideas for digging in the word. I just found your channel and have been binge watching. I enjoy your videos! Your voice is calm, soothing and comforting. So thankful for you, my sister in Christ. God bless you and your family.
A 4X6 index card is amazing. A person can decorate one side of the card (IMPORTANT TO NOTE: NO stickers) But then write an address on the other side with a post card postage stamp (it is less costly) and mail it someone for encouragement. Correspondence writing is so needed.💚💚💚 Check with you post office for their direction. Also, know you can use colorful pens and pencils to decorate around the Scripture. As a homeschool Mom, some of my daughter's art and language arts program was a time she enjoyed because she was making and creating for others. I continue even now in this practice. Just have fun.💚💚💚
Hello, started last night by trailing you. Today I'm found myself trailing you once again with this scripture writing. Being that this be my first time ever doing this I've decided to jump both feet in. Having a bit of problem with the application section. Thinking discovering a verse first would work me over but it's the application part that's giving me the problem. I got saved August of last year. Currently in the waiting section to be process. Pray my application is passable pleasing in the Lord's eyesight. My grand draws better than.
Hi friend...thank you for watching my videos. I pray you will enjoy Scripture Writing and that step by step, you will find what works best for you. So glad to hear that you are a new Christian and that you are reading God's Word. That's one of the very best things you can do!♥️
Good evening. I have two favorite tools to use while Bible Journaling as I haven't started Scripture Writing yet. One is the Crayola Color Map Pencils and the other, if I am feeling "artsy or creative, are the watercolor pencils. I was gifted a set of these watercolor pencils and I absolutely love them. You can not only just color or draw with them but you can also use a paint brush and a little water to spread the color around your picture as if you were watercolor painting. If you use them for just coloring or drawing, they have a more deep and rich color to them than the map color pencils. Blessings!
Sherry , I so enjoy your video's ! I really like these one's about Scripture writing . I have written down Scriptures before but would like to have it as a regular practice , I find you so uplifting and calming to listen to . Another thing that I appreciate is you aren't too fancy and lofty with your way of doing it . I don't consider myself an artist so its not intimidating just looks lovely and obtainable . Bless you Sherry for your ministry to us . Take care my Sister in Christ !
SOAP sounds good. Enjoyed our time together today! You are truly inspiring for this weary soul. I can feel your anointing from His Holy Spirit and it blesses me.
I just found you this morning. I'm hooked!!!❤❤❤ Yes, I use basically the soap method, except I start with a heading (usually from or based on the paragraph heading in the Bible), then the reference , then I copy out the key verse (just what hits me that day), then 3 or 4 key facts that cover content, then the application. Maybe I should add a prayer but by that stage I'm going away meditating on what I've found or been convicted of. I don't write prayers, I like to speak to God silently or out loud. Writing takes too long and don't want private things written on paper. I also add pictures, esp historical or geography ones of the place, greeting cards, etc etc,. As a 71 yr old I find it really hard to concentrate now, plus finding time to be alone with God is hard. I appreciate your videos, thank you!!!❤❤❤
You are just precious. Can be a tough topic for those who’ve had scriptures shoved down their throats. You have made this very warm, welcoming, inclusive, and maybe even doable. Please don’t underestimate the number of those who have been spiritually abused by having scriptures shoved down our throats. By someone who judged my life compared to theirs when they had not traveled the same road I had. I have done this in the past. I have cards from decades ago. Floating around. I really like the SOAP method and then we give that a try. Thank you very much.
This is a first for me and I have listened to other utubers on scripture writing and with each I have learned something new, love the soap idea, so as a new scripture writer will be using this method. Hope to learn more as I go along and most of all to draw nearer to my Lord and Savior. God bless
I do this exact thing for my prayer journaling. (I buy journaling books at hobby lobby, Ross’s, Home Goods, etc. ). This helps me stay focused, and has the incredible benefit of going back from time to time and remembering how Big and faithful our God has been to us, getting us through trials and issues that I struggled with in the past.
Yes, first time to hear about soap and your explanation . That is exactly what the Lord wants me to do.And you popped up on my feed.God bless you, your obedience to the Lord spread like wildfire🎉.
Thank you for sharing! I am sure that Jesus led me to your channel this morning. I am finally ready to do scripture writing. I was going to try it a few years ago, it just didn’t fit into my life. After crushing a vertebra in my back a year ago, I had to sit still and I got closer to God. I still need to sit more than anything else and I have such a desire now to continue the work God started in me. ✝️
Hi Sherry love from South Africa. I just came upon your video per chance and I so glad. For the first time heard about the SOAP method. I am not artistic but I started writing. what a blessing sinece I started. Thankingso much
You look so beautiful in this top or dress 😊 I just had to say. Your video about scripture writing just came on my feed tonight, here I am watching more of your videos. Thank you so much for your channel 😊❤️❤️ God bless you richly from a sister in Christ in Northern Ireland 😊it’s amazing how God brings us together ! He is your strength ❤️🌈❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much for watching from your beautiful Northern Ireland location. I appreciate your kind words of support. May the Lord bless you, sister! ♥
Good Morning, Just stumbled (LOL) on your website this morning. The Lord put it on my heart about 20 years ago to doodle as I wrote scripture…. It was a way that allowed me to ponder on the verse I was writing. Usually a phrase from the verse was what I would ponder on throughout the day. It brought such peace. Then the thought came…. “This is a stupid idea. This is the dumbest thing you’ve ever thought about.” Of course I see that now as the accuser. So I stopped. How sad of me to have done that. It seemed too simple and maybe a bit blasphemous. This is sacred scripture and I’m doodling it like a child would doodle. Childlike innocence was exuding through my pen, onto the page, and resulted in a tsunami of peace. Hmmmm…. Childlike? Now I am remembering those scriptures that say come to Him as a child… come to me and I will give you rest for My burden is light….So today I began again. I doodled The Lord is My Shepherd… that’s it. 5 words from the 23rd Psalm. Such peace enveloped me. The peace that passes all understanding…. All of this to say….. THANK YOU! Thank you for being obedient to the Lord and creating this channel! I am grounded in His word today. I know what I’ll be pondering and meditating on all day today. As the day unfolds, good or bad, the way I want it to unfold or not, I am grounded. He is My shepherd. I belong. I am valued even though to the world my insight might be childlike. I don’t care. I am grounded in HIM for today, for the next several minutes, for the next several seconds…. For the next breath….Isnt the Lord faithful to use something so simple to make such a profound difference to my heart and to my thinking! The Holy Spirit is gentle and kind….. not pushy or arrogant. It would make send that He would use the simple act of writing scripture to speak volumes …… Again….. thank you! :)
Praise the Lord, Tina. I read your every word with excitement as I could feel your spirit lifting when you spoke of returning to being creative with your Scripture Writing. Oh how satan works to rob us of the joys we have in Christ. Well not today! Thank you for sharing your experience. I am so excited for you, friend. Thank you Lord...You are our Shepherd and we are in your tender fold! Blessings to you!!♥
Hello from Texas! What a blessing you are..I enjoy your watching your message.you are a beautiful soul..May God continue to bless you and I look forward watching future messages..love your scripture writing..
Hi, I'm new here! I've recently started Scripture Writing in a bound journal and am really finding it a blessing. I began by numbering all the pages and putting an index of subjects at the front. I'm mainly writing down the Psalms so far as I find them so full of material. God bless you and your work for the Lord, Shelly
I think that idea will be great for people with limited space or those who just want to participate without needing a lot of supplies. Blessings to you, Krista!!♥
I just discovered your channel. When i write scripture, I like to do one verse at a time. Then I look up the hebrew or greek meanings, maybe look at commentaries. There have been times I was surprised what the scripture was actually saying. Thank you for sharing your wisd9m.
Have you ever tried watercolor pencils? You pencil then on, like coloring a flower. Then you get a small watercolor brush, dipped in water, and go oner the place you've colored, and it gives you a watercolor effect, after you moisten where you colored.
Yes... I have used those before and they are very nice! I have also used watercolor paints. But in my daily writings, I have found using pencils, pens, and markers to be more comfortable for me.
Hi! Your video came up in my UA-cam feed just as I was working on a SOAP study (catching up on it) and I enjoyed all you have shared. Thank you! (New sub)
I just love listening to your videos. Your voice is so soothing!!! I have used to SOAP method a few times but love to verse map. I just purchased a verse mapping journal and hope to start that as soon as I get it. It helps me get a deeper meaning of the verses. That is a great idea using index cards to write out verses and keep them close. I found a new pack of index cards in my stash of supplies. Just need to get a box to keep them in. Thanks for the great idea!!!
Oh Sherry your videos are always so inspiring and thought provoking. They also encourage me to do more daily for Our Lord. Today’s episode is,encouraging me to Scripture write daily! I wondered if you keep an index of your writings so you know which verses you wrote? Loved the notebook given to your parents. What a great gift and idea.
Thank you, Lindy! I don't keep the printed guide since I have the Scriptures I wrote, month by month. But some of my followers enjoy keeping the guides and putting them with their monthly Scriptures.
Hi Sherry I am new here. I have not used the SOAP method for scripture. What I do is write scripture on random pieces of cardboard, and meditate on it, when I am in transit. I think I would like to adopt your my method. I also have a blank book that I use to illustrate a Bible text. This builds eye hand coordination. I am 71 years old. Later I will flick back and try to recall what scripture the drawing represented. Thank you so much. Also I did scripture journals for our children when they went off to college. I think I will do my new SOAP journal with a future grandchild in mind, as I do not have any yet.
Hi Beverley! Thanks so much for watching and leaving this comment. How wonderful that you have already been spending time in God's Word, writing it on cardboard and illustrating it in books. I do pray the SOAP method will bless you and give you something new to look forward to in your devotional time. Creating a SOAP journal for a future grandchild sounds like a lovely idea!
Hi, I’ve just recently noticed that you & maybe others have scriptures writing or a plan a prayer bible, but I don’t understand what those letters (soap ) mean , but to my thinking I dislike writing anything except the appointment to the Dr. or a date to something exciting, as a pass time I like to crochet , but thanks for putting yourself out there it caught my eye but it’s hard to understand why people would want to write , I have had surgery on my head to remove a 1/3 of the tumour but I am a Christian for long time as oils as my first child so that I’m also a grandmother and great grandmother as well as I’m 72 yrs old so I’m not sure what else to add here but thanks for sharing
Hi Monika! In the video, I go over what SOAP stands for. Christians enjoy writing out Scripture because it helps us have greater understanding of God’s Word and it builds our faith.
Hi Sherry! I recently found your channel and am wanting to begin doing some scripture writing and just had no idea how to begin. Thanks to your channel I feel like I am ready to begin. I also like that you share your likes and recommendations. I will now look at my local Dollar Tree for some of the items you mentioned before spending too much money before I determine if I want to do this.
I just found your site today. Looking forward to following and learning how to do this. I love the word of God so writing it will give me great pleasure 🙏
I "bumped" into your channel yesterday. How refreshing. Subscribed! I have done Scripture writing with illustrations in the past. Maybe I can start up again.
Hello, thanks for sharing. Something I desire to do is to make 22 pages of each Hebrew letter in very large print. As I learn a new Hebrew word, which starts with that letter, I would like to write it on that page, in a random spot, draw a picture, and add a scripture address (or two) where it's used, in tiny little clusters. Then, in a notebook, I can write the scripture, or use the word in a sentence, using that word. I already write out scripture in my journals, but thay is usually from prayer interpretations I do with my prayer group.
Hi Sherry, discovered your channel few days ago...thinking to give scripture journaling a try. Pondering about art to correlate with the different scriptures. Hope this technique will help me get back into reading the Bible more and searching. I'm a visual learner so perhaps this art method will help me focus with scripture memorization. Thank you. 😊
Hi Jan! This is something I discovered: Scripture Writing is a tactile way to connect with God's Word. When taking the pencil or marker to hand, and then copying it down, and then making it beautiful with your own creativity that was given by God, the Word is deeply absorbed. It's works like a magnet to connect us to the Truth. And it's also individualized. Everyone has their own way...their own handwriting in cursive or print or block style...their own ideas about page layout, their own ideas about creativity. It's a powerful tool to bring the Word to life!
New here and just subscribed! I just picked up those index cards at the dollar tree a couple of days ago because I love the colors. You can also punch a single hole at the top and use a metal ring binder clip (dollar tree find) and make a flip style Scripture booklet.
Hi Sherry! You are a joy to watch and learn from! I’d like to know where you found the journal book with the scripture inside. Thank you- I look forward to learning more from you! 😊⚓️
Hi GG! That journal was a gift from a friend. I'm not sure where she found but if I come across another one like it, I will share it on my channel. Thanks so much for watching my videos!!♥
Thank you Sherry- just curious if there's a name/brand anywhere on it? I don't want to be a pest, I just think it was lovely and I like that the paper is a heavier weight.
Sherry ... I have been very ill for the past two weeks with what the doctor says is an atypical lung infection. I dont think I have ever felt so bad in my life. I am currently on my second round of antibiotics as well as a 12-day course of steroids, and I pray this will do the trick. I am so weak. Anyway, I was skimming through UA-cam videos about getting closer to God, and your channel was recommended to me. I have watched several of your videos now, and they have indeed been a blessing. I am intrigued by the Inspire Bibles, the soft cover ones for faith and praise, and I hope to be able to afford one someday as I can see how the journaling/art aspect can enhance ones faith and bring one nearer to God. I have known Him for many, many years, but lately, over the past two years or so, I feel such a tug toward Him. I just want more and more of Him. Thank you for opening my eyes to what, for me, is this new way of sharing life with Him. May He richly bless you and all of your family ❤
Hi Shirlee and welcome to my channel! I am so sorry you are under the weather, friend. I pray the Lord will heal your infection and allow you to recover well. Thank you for watching my videos. We will start praying that God will provide one of those Inspire Bibles for you. Sending hugs to you friend.♥
@thehomespunwife Thank you so much, Sherry. I really appreciate the prayers. I hold prayer as the best gift one person can give to another. I have placed you on my prayer list also for whatever needs you might have ❤️
Hi Sherry so wonderful to see you again😊 I have used the Soap method before and found it worked well. Right now I am reading a book called Prayers For a Woman’s Soul by Julie Gillies. I have had it for a long while. It has topics and scriptures and prayers for 52 weeks. You reminded me. I could use the Soap method to study the verse along with meditating on it.❤️🤗
I bought a really cute book for my grandchildren from Amazon called "77 Memory Verses Every Kid Should Know" It's so cute. One page has the scripture, underneath the child writes out the scripture on the lines provided. On the corresponding page you can color in that scripture in a cute page they have decorated and made to fill in with colors. Really cute and cheap.
Hey Sherry, I have just found your channel and you are an inspiration to me. I am also a pk. It was an interesting life that's for sure . I have just begun scripture writing and I was wondering where do you get your scriptures that you write down each day? Do you follow a schedule or a devotion book?
I do an internet search for Scripture Writing Guides. I post one each month on my Facebook page, "The Homespun Wife," for my friends who wish to join in writing. There are lots of guides out there!
Hi. I’ve just found you as well, and really enjoyed hearing what you do. Soap method is useful, but we must remember to consider the verse’s context , do you agree? 😊
@@lisaforte1575 Yes it is! ♥️
Thank you so much for sharing your life experience with Scripture Writing. I am so thankful God led you my way. Welcome to the channel.♥
I love that you would give your parents your scripture writings each year for the year ahead that they used each day. That is beautiful. Thank you for that idea!
You're welcome, Julie!♥️
Sherry, your suggestions are excellent. I especially like the SOAP method. It really makes the scripture “real” and how to apply it to our lives as well as praying to live our life according to God’s purpose and will.
I enjoy this SOAP method too. It's a wonderful way to Scripture Write! Blessings to you, Kathy!
Amen, Vanessa.
Love your creative ideas!
This is great! I have no drawing skills so I actually use dollar store stickers! Maybe I should try to draw too. God loves our attempts!!❤
Absolutely give it a try, Leanne. Whatever we do for Jesus, he receives it and blesses it and almost always multiplies it! ♥
You can also use stamps then color them in with whatever medium you'd like.
They are great ideas ❤
You should definitely try drawing. I started doing bullet journaling a couple of years ago, I was only planning on using stickers and I decided to start drawing and I’m so glad that I did.
So thankful that the Lord put your video on my timeline💜 He uses others to help us grow-
Amen...thank you for watching today. I appreciate it!💜
Like so many commenters here today, you just popped up yesterday in my UA-cam feed.
I'm used to copying verses in my journal but was coming from the mental realm more so than in Spirit.
This is so exciting, Sandra! May the Lord bless you!
I just found your video last night I enjoyed it so much. We are going through rough time right now. My husband was just diagnosed with Leukemia. I saw this scripture on Facebook yesterday and today I started writing. The scripture wExodus 14:14. It really spoke to my heart. God Bless you❤❤❤
I am so sorry to hear about your husband's diagnosis, Glenda. I will stop and say a prayer for both you right now. ♥
I love this idea of using the SOAP method! I’ve heard of it but have never used it. Thank you ❤️
It's such a wonderful idea! Thanks for watching, Kathy! ♥
Your voice is soothing. May your ministry be blessed. Looking to overcome anxiety and intrusive thoughts and came across your channel.
Thanks so much for joining me. I hope to see you again!
Praise God! I really enjoy that method & plan to use it! God is so very good!
Amen! Thanks for watching!
I found a heavyweight college ruled notebook paper at Staples, it works really well for my Scripture writing.
That's great Roxanne!
What wonderful ideas for digging in the word. I just found your channel and have been binge watching. I enjoy your videos! Your voice is calm, soothing and comforting. So thankful for you, my sister in Christ. God bless you and your family.
Thank you so much for your kind words! What a blessing! ♥
Great idea!
That's one of the very best things you can do!♥️
The Lord led me to your channel today and I subscribed. I am off to watch your video before this one! I hope you have a blessed day!
Hi BettyJo! Thank you for watching and subscribing!
How precious with your parents. We just can’t take anything for granted ♥️

Blessings!
Yes...I have used these watercolor pencils and they are very nice! Thanks for sharing about these two tools that you enjoy.
Sherry , I so enjoy your video's ! I really like these one's about Scripture writing . I have written down Scriptures before but would like to have it as a regular practice , I find you so uplifting and calming to listen to . Another thing that I appreciate is you
aren't too fancy and lofty with your way of doing it .

Thank you, friend. ♥
I appreciate your videos, thank you!!!❤❤❤
Thank you so much for watching and for sharing your comments. Your methold of Scripture Writing sounds wonderful!♥️
I am so happy you are doing this series, Sherry! Thank you for sharing!❤❤
Thank you!
Thank you so much for explaining the process of scripture in a nutshell and the SOAP method .
Thanks for watching today, Connie!
Good morning, what a beautiful way to start this day. I'm looking for ways to add to my daily devotion. Thank you for sharing GOD'S word.
Thank you for watching, Catrina!
Thank you for watching and leaving this comment from your experiences.
@@YeshuaKingMessiah I don’t know what your question means. Could you clarify for me? I’d be grateful. I’m quite intrigued by this practice.
This is a first for me and I have listened to other utubers on scripture writing and with each I have learned something new, love the soap idea, so as a new scripture writer will be using this method. Hope to learn more as I go along and most of all to draw nearer to my Lord and Savior. God bless
Amen, Debbie!

Thank you for sharing Sherryle!
I'm going to try this. Thank you Sherry so much.
Wonderful, Toni! Blessings to you!♥
Yes, first time to hear about soap and your explanation . That is exactly what the Lord wants me to do.And you popped up on my feed.God bless you, your obedience to the Lord spread like wildfire🎉.
Thank you so much for watching and taking time to leave a comment. What a blessing!
Hi Sherry. It’s great to find others who have a passion for the Bible and for writing scripture. I too write a scripture daily and post it.
Hello Sherry, the most precious gift we can give to our children is God's word ❤

I am so sorry to read about your back, Ann. I pray Scripture Writing will be a blessing to your life.
Hi Sherry love from South Africa. I just came upon your video per chance and I so glad. For the first time heard about the SOAP method. I am not artistic but I started writing. what a blessing sinece I started. Thankingso much
This is wonderful, Bertie! I pray you will be blessed by the SOAP method!

Good Morning,
Just stumbled (LOL) on your website this morning.
It would make send that He would use the simple act of writing scripture to speak volumes ……
Again….. thank you!

Thank you for telling us about the SOAP method. I want to put it to use in my own Bible study.
Thanks for watching! Let me know how you like the SOAP method in your Bible study!
Sorry I called you Shelly instead of Sherry! X
Hi Claire! That's a wonderful idea! Having a subject index will be beneficial.
Oh that's ok! No problem at all!
I love the index card idea! These ideas are so helpful! ❤
I think that idea will be great for people with limited space or those who just want to participate without needing a lot of supplies. Blessings to you, Krista!!♥
I just found your page and am enjoying your videos. I'm going to try my hand at scripture writing also :) God bless you.
Thanks so much for watching my videos!
I have a Bic 4-color pen with exactly the colors on the page you shared today. ✍
My husband was a pastor too. Bless you, Sherry.
Hi Beth! Thanks for watching my video. I have seen those Bic pens. So cool!

Just starting out so enjoying it.
Wonderful, Alison!
I just discovered your channel. When i write scripture, I like to do one verse at a time. Then I look up the hebrew or greek meanings, maybe look at commentaries. There have been times I was surprised what the scripture was actually saying. Thank you for sharing your wisd9m.
That sounds like a wonderful way to delve into the Scriptures, Diana. Blessings to you!
Thank you! (New sub)
Thank you so much for watching and subscribing! God bless you, friend!
Thank you for watching and sharing, Chris! I like the index card idea too!
You have inspired me to try this. Thank you.

Hi Sherry
I am new here.
You look lovey today! Thanks for such a brilliant idea! 🙌🏻💜
Thank you Alice!💜
Awesome gift. I think I’ll try to make one for my parents and one for my son!
That would be so nice!
@@thehomespunwife I will have the most beneficial experience with this one :)
Thank you for this video. Very helpful.
Thanks so much for watching!

Hi I love you video a tip for writing in student pads I use a piece of cardboard from food boxes.
Sounds like you have a wonderful plan that's allowing you to connect with God's Word!
Hello Sherry! I keep wanting to to try the SOAP method. Someday I will give it a try. God’s blessings.
You're so wonderful with your Scripture art, Kathy! I really enjoy it. Blessings!

New here and just subscribed! I just picked up those index cards at the dollar tree a couple of days ago because I love the colors. You can also punch a single hole at the top and use a metal ring binder clip (dollar tree find) and make a flip style Scripture booklet.
Great idea!! I hope you will enjoy it! And thank you for subscribing♥️
Hi Sherry! You are a joy to watch and learn from! I’d like to know where you found the journal book with the scripture inside. Thank you- I look forward to learning more from you! 😊⚓️

A piece of food box like cereal or mac and cheese box type cardboard would be a good way to put between pages to stop bleeding from some ink pens too
Yes! Great thinking!
You could also scan your monthly scripture writing and keep a digital version to pass on to more than 1 person.
That's a wonderful idea Janet!
Im going to check that out for me 😅 sounds kinda like a good starting point. Thankyou
This sounds like a wonderful book!

Ps im a grandma 😂
this is something i will be trying..i love art journaling and will use that as well…i really need to come back to that closeness with Jesus
Amen! I pray the Lord will bless you and you will experience his presence.

Thankyou so much
I have soaped before. I enjoy doing soap!
I enjoy it too, Bonnie!
Of course.
