which would be better choice, for me? I want to add subwoofer to my stereo system, I'm choosing between SVS PB-1000 and Klipsch R115SW, they are both 630€. I will use them for movies and music(mostly EDM, rap, hip hop, trap)
@The Fortnite Camper King The PB-1000 will work, the driver is only a 10" and you still get the depth of any massive ported sub, but it's actually pretty musical.
Good observation, but I'd recommend using REW program to measure the Frequency response of the subwoofers. Each one of those subwoofers will have a roll off Fq. What's desirable is a flat response and a roll off around 15Hz to 12Hz. Some of the more expensive subwoofers made by PSA and SVS achieve that response or even lower.
PB-1000, louder at lower frequencies and it drops lower than the sb12 nsd aswell. The sb12 nsd sounds better but If you're doing 80 % movies and want to impress your friends, than the PB-1000 would probably be your option. I'd pick up two of these if you have the spare money and room for it.
@Nikola Tesla Well most people can't have two, if you've got room and money for it then it's your best choice. But one can be impressive as hell if you find the sweet spot.
@@georgexydous2891 good choice, havent heard the new pro ones but tbh i like the cylinders more, somethin about them i just like the sound they produce. i have one of the older svs 20-39pci's and its great. when the woofer starts to go out on it (been going strong for like 15 years) im gonna replace the woofer and plate amp with the more updated ones svs sells to make it even better.
late reply as well but as a klipsch fanboy (all my speakers are klipsch) even ill admit klipsch subs dont compare to svs subs. my sub is a svs 20-39pci and its AMAZING. i recommend the cylinder subs not only for space but in my opinion they sound better than the box subs svs sells with comparative price.
SVS is better. I recently bought PB-1000 and my old sub was R-12SW. R-12SW was loud but I felt like it was not a clear bass. PB-1000 bass is more detail and punchy. Also with SVS you get better warranty and you can upgrade within a year.

Klipsch is great for speakers, subs not so much. What you should look for when buying a sub us a flat frequency response. Klipsch has boosted bass in certain frequencies and many hills and valleys. Svs stand head to head with subwoofers in the thousands of dollars price range. Klipsch is not even in the same league. I love klipsch speakers, but their subs are no different than any other box store subs, wont even drop to 20hz..while svs drops to 12 hz.
