@matthewmoeller1225- The regiments you usually see at Horse Guards are Lifeguards in red uniforms Blues and Royals in dark blue uniforms the two regiments of The Household Cavalry . At the moment they are away on a break so standing Kings Lifeguards are The Kings Troop Royal Horse Artillery.
Dad looks so proud and righly so.
It seems the queen’s guard has two different uniforms or units apparently?
*King's guard

@@kathellison8084 Thanks for clarifying this.
@@kathellison8084 very good
what regiment is this ?
It's an Hussar regiment. I was in the 11th Hussars (PAO) and our uniform was very similar.
@@lionelspencer-ward3527 is it not Royal horse Artillary
They are The Kings Troop Royal Horse Artillery who pull the gun carriages and fire salutes on State Ceremonial occasions .
@@clothcapkev2088 I don't know, I went off the fact that our uniforms look similar. Also it was over 60 years ago so I don't guarantee my memory!
