Usually when I have supper late just before I fell asleep, I can feel my gastric juice in the stomach when I wake up. I guess that's why you feel hungrier waking up after having late supper too.
Because your gastric juice didn't finish their job of digesting the supper from last night before your body shut down in sleeping mode to get some rest, but those supper already move on to the intestine part.
So your body mistakenly emitting gastric juice to resume their unfinish job once you awake even tho the food already move on to the next stage of digesting process.

Wow! I need to travel to KUL...never been there. Alor Hawker Fried food looks amazing! SIN and KUL both have great restaurants, can I ask which city do you prefer to travel to?

@@phoeberuchen FYI, I just found out that Chilli Pan Mee restaurant have a branch (22 China Street, #01-01) in Singapore too. Hooray!! Will definitely go there when we visit Singapore this summer.

Did you eat durian just on its own? That's the best way of eating durian.
You can purchase and the vendor can open the durian for you to eat it right there and then.
Most of the snacks that are supposedly durian-flavoured aren't really that great and generally isn't the true durian taste anyway.
