Mercer and Beth were pushing for anything. They knew this is one of the last classic that would even matter because no one was even fishing in it. None of the top 25 anglers in the sport of bass fishing were even in the classic how can you call this the super bowl when you have the scabs fishing
That's Mercer for you, I wish BASS would find another emcee. He's about as corny as the state of Iowa, just like the guy from FLW that hollers out " 5 fish limit " for every angler weighing in.

Since I picked Christie for my Fantasy Fishing and Drain the lake, he helped me have a decent tournament score too. P.S. Take a shot every time Mercer says "Christie conquers the classic" You will pass out and die of alcohol poisoning. This was impressive, I listened to the Mercer podcast with Christie a few weeks back....he called it and said he was going to win. He didn't lose a single fish...that was impressive.
I live on Hartwell and it is rare that you lose a fish. I heard a few anglers talk about losing good ones but they tend to make it into the boat here I can’t really explain it. Honestly I think our fish are just good at eating quick so they get stuck real solid.

I know many aren't very familiar with Kyle Welcher...well he's only been fishing at the bassmaster level for a very short time(2 or 3 years now) and he just got 2nd in the classic. Shoutout to him. What a beast.

I feel this title dont mean as much now days with all the big names in major league fishing but gosh darn it christie deserved this win congratulations sir
Look at what the rookies are doing in MLF, this field of anglers is just as strong as it ever was. The big names at MLF that have tournaments where they struggle, it wouldn't be any different if they were fishing here, that's just the way it goes. Also, it was their own choice when they left BASS.
Hank cherry was the only classic Champion in the hole field again bassmasters is water down with the bigger names in MLF dont get me wrong i still love it and watch it just my opinion sir
@@jerradcolley4550 Yes sir, I can totally see your opinion, and it is a pretty strong argument, and don't get me wrong it still sucks that names like Jordan Lee, Wheeler, MDJ, KVD, Casey Ashley, Howell, Marty Robinson, I could go on and on, I wish they were still with BASS, I really do, but over the last 3 years you still see some of em get on rolls and some are in a slump, just like always. For example, I've always been a fan of Casey Ashley and Marty Robinson and Randy Howell and so many more, but if you look at the last 3 years several of these guys have been in a bit of a slump and this year these guys are doing really well, it's nice to see when they do that. I guess my point is no matter what trail the pros are fishing a lot of them seem to cycle, they'll get momentum and have great seasons, and then there will be some not so great seasons thrown in there. I totally see your argument, but I feel the Elite field has gotten very, very strong the last few years.

I was at the expo and Hartwell is my home lake. I talked to multiple people about using live-imaging in tournaments and the consensus is that it shouldn’t be allowed
One day I'ma be the Bassmaster Classic and when
Glad I had to find out who won on UA-cam. I get through 3 hrs of classic on fox to have it end w/ no weigh in and that crap goes to live website? I’m completely lost on why I have such difficulties with this show. My classic ends to bowling and I find out who wins on UA-cam. Uggh bassmaster y’all piss me off
We end on Fox and go to Bassmaster.com for the rest of the show and then the weigh-in afterwards. What other sport has an 8 hour show continuously? That’s a huge TV time buy, so 4 hours on FS1 and the rest on .com.

Finally gave up watching it on espn cause I could never figure out the schedule/air time, espn1 espn2? Finally decide I’m going to try and watch again cause my dvr is loading up, which actually I’m really happy to see shows again. But now I’ve gotta hop from show to computer. I’ve been watching you guys since the 80’s (tnn) probably before you were even born. Regardless it’s never been easy to figure out this shows schedule. The way the show was in the early 2000 was perfect, finding the show was t. So don’t be a wise ass w/ your remarks about length of air time. And simply try to understand when someone throws out a complaint a proper response in business would be to take a look at a potential issue/complaint. Not throw out an bullshit excuse like our shows to long. Well you been doing it now for 60-70 years figure it out.
