@@Bengalinationalist1 Yes, those was part of Bengal, not of Bangladesh. And I'm focusing on Sylhety and their language which is old more than 2 thousand years where as bangla was created just before 3 hundred years. Huge difference

Middle Bengali itself is 1300 years, language of Pala empire, Gauda Empire, Kamrupa Empire etc. Old Bengali is Magadhi, Old Bengali is around 2500 years old, it was the language of the Mauryan Empire. Also many Bengal based empires. Standardised Bengali is around 300 years old

Our Language, culture and traditions are different than Bengali people. Our Language is Sylhety language. Language of Korimgonj, asam, kasar, Tripura region in east India also sylhety. I visited Kolkata and will come again.
I am a retired Indian and I with my spouse want to visit as a tourist sometime in October November. Can somebody guide me regarding cheap accommodation and transportation and whether Vegetarian Food is easily available. Thanks
Well. If you want to visit natural tourist spots you can come Sylhet, Bangladesh. It's north-east part of Bangladesh. Accomodations and transportation are little bit cheaper than other part of Bangladesh. Keep in mind Sylhety people are quite different and kind than Bengali. Language, culture, foods many other things are different than bengali. Some popular tourist spots are Jaflong, sada pathor, ratargul, tanguar haor, madobkundo, Tea garden and so on. Welcome to Sylhet city.
