In an effort to show support for this letter and to put forth an effort to “Save Sacramento Raceway Park” or “Protect Drag Racing in Sacramento,” we are asking all racers and spectators to not only circulate, but sign our petition.

We also encourage any interested party to contact the county directly and demand answers regarding the facts surrounding the potential sale of the land that is home to Sacramento Raceway Park and the imminent closure of the facility.

They did the same at my home track (Orlando speed world) THANK GOD a few years later it was reopened , but I feel your pain, Hopefully they will keep the gates open . Best of luck guys 👍🏻👍🏻

Where's the support from the city, police, law, that's the only way of avoiding street racing.
Street racing = the need for more police funds and stricter laws. Those are good things for the police. The city knows the cops will eventually wipe out the scene. The more out of control it gets the more they get to demonize it.
( I would just go out of town, but people like to mess with authorities.)

Same thing happened at Lakeland Raceway in Tenn,track featured in 2 lane blacktop,Like the man said its worth more for housing !sad,real sad!!
It's a private family owned track & if they are being pushed out because of zoning issues it's basically over. I've seen more then a couple of tracks go down the road of fighting that battle & I've never seen it end up in the tracks favor. Sorry hearing, but it's over for SRP....

Cities need to seriously start funding drag strips and tracks, but more money is made by zoning that property out for housing and issuing street racing tickets. Money makes the world go round, especially in California.

Really sad,my hometown track,last time I was there I was 15,during the shoebox wars,my new hometown track is Memphis raceway park,its been closed and reopened 3 times I believe.
What is the future of this raceway? I grew up going here but have since moved all the way across the country. Would like to support its existence any way I can.

Man that's messed up for the track guys. I have a feeling that they might shut down the track to get those big profits but to be honest to everyone street racing isnt as bad as u think the only reason it has a bad reputation is because of dumb kids that dont know what there doing and also adults stuff like racing threw neighborhoods, stop light racing, and just being in areas where there is tons of people thats the wrong way of doing it and that is the majority reasons why street racing is bad because of idiots that do stuff like that. In order to keep street racing safe u need order, people, needs to be planed out, away from neighborhoods, off of busy streets, away from people and a LEADER. Have all that and i promise the things that made people think bad about street racing will be a thing of the past. I promise u that.
