re; long boring day... Well at 7 knots (max) cruising & times well below that, your not going to get anywhere quickly. But that's not necessarily a bad thing with the right frame of mind. For me, the tough part would be staying awake & not nodding off after listening to that diesel at the constant rpm for that long.
Yes last year we boated for 2 1/2 months, this year it will be around 4 months. Up in the Port McNeil/ Broughtons area we were paying $1.50 CA dollars per foot per night + another $25 if you want 30A power. Down in the Campbell River area and south its closer to $3 per foot per night. So far we've been out since early June and have only overnighted in a marina a handful of times. :) Usually we are anchored for free. Many marinas offer free tie up for a couple hours to get fuel water groceries, etc.
SO SO beautiful there... especially in Blind Channel! Special request... could you show your "drop anchor" procedure when arriving at a spot? And also reverse procedure when packing up and moving? Interesting to contrast with the RV and boat. Thanks!!

BC has some amazing waterways! Thank you!!
BC is one of the most beautiful places on earth.
What kind of money do marinas charge per night?
This is your second summer in the boat, right?
