The Burkley case from Blackbrook is one of the best I’ve ever had the chance to review. It features top notch build quality from its full grain leather materials to the intricate stitching holding it all together. It has all of the features I would expect including magnetic closure which is essential for keeping it closed when you have the wallet portion full. What I like most is the case is detachable so you can leave the folio behind on those occasions where you don’t need it and you still have a beautiful slim case for your device. Blackbrook also offers a monogram service for an extra touch of personalization. I think this product is excellent and definitely worth your consideration.

I would like a Samsung Fold case like this. The wallet case I got made me wish the magnetic clasp wrapped around the phone, and I started wishing the wallet portion could be removed if I didn't need it. 😢
Ahhh, I was hoping you were going to show how well the magnet holds the phone when the case is opened and shaken a little bit like for example when you open the case, hold it by the magnetic lip/closure and let it phone hang while you try to get a card out. Does phone stay in place or does it detach? Can you provide an update?
In that sort of scenario it'll hold just fine no worries
Quick update, I received my Blackbrook case last night. I chose their Barlow case in distressed antique coffee. Does your case have this nubuck texture to it? It looks smooth on the video. Curious to know is this exclusive to the distressed antique coffee option or not.
I believe that sort of texture is unique to their more brown options. The burnished tan in the video has more of a glossy texture and finish.

I don't see any provision for a lanyard. I'm shopping for a folio case for my wife's new phone, and she does use a wrist strap.
Are the lenses flush with the leather or do the lenses sit lower than the plastic so they won’t break if dropped on the back side?
They're pretty close to flush on my version but check other models of the Barlow as some have been updated to include a plastic ring around the cameras that does protect them. Just click around their site and look at the model for your phone and you'll see what I mean.
That color is sick, and the lip is very pronounced from what I can see. That has been my issues with leather cases is the amount of lip protection you get. I will say Apple’s leather cases offer a nice lip, and my phones have never been damaged but, this is what I like. I want the distressed coffee brown but it wont be back available until November 😢.
Yeah it's definitely a very nice case and I was sad I had to stop using it when I got my 14 PM. 🥲 Fortunately we'll have more Blackbrook stuff to check out soon!
