I remember watching this video two years ago and crying because I had desperately wanted to be an equestrian since I was really young. I had never been around horses before, but I somehow felt such a strong passion for them. I'm now watching this video again and crying even harder, because I get to work with the most wonderful people and the most beautiful animals every weekend (and have been for almost two years), and have been riding for almost a year and a half. It's turned out to be everything I had always hoped it would. I feel thankful. I feel compassion. I feel fearless.
Mackenzie Cosentino OMG yes I have been riding for about a year and a half but people never take me seriously because I ride horses but I don't have my own it drives me crazy because I love riding I'm Irish and I ride at a stable where they teach me but if someone asks 'Laura do u have a horse' and I say 'No they automatically think I don't ride horses that I make it up or I do it to be better then anyone else but it's not for those reasons it's because I love the animals in or out of the saddle and I know I'm not better then anyone else I don't want to be I want to be me just ME Sorry this is so long

I fell in love with horses and horse racing with Barbaro. I have been an obsessed fan ever since. What is it about these animals that makes one fall hopelessly in love with? To me, they are magical, spiritual, intuitive and humble.
I feel free, like nothing else matters in that moment. As if I’d been transported to a different world to where I can finally escape the stress of everyday life. The feeling of a powerful creature moving in stride with me, a mutual understanding of trust in one another. It makes you feel alive....
I have been riding for almost 7 years now..each time I ride, I feel like it’s just me and my horse, all my trust falls onto her and all her trust falls onto me. It’s like I block out everything around me..like nobody is there, just me and her. During competitions, the same thing happens. Each time a ride I feel like I’m making a stronger connection with her, and each time I ride I can trust her more, and she can trust me. I feel relaxed when I ride..all my tension goes away...it’s like the problems I faced in the day..never happened.. Even though, riding can be Unpredictable..i will always be passionate about it..
This sport is hard, not for the physical part (working out) ITs the fact that I might not be able to live without a horse.. This sport is only risky for your mental health, But if you accomplish your dream you will be fine 🥰
