As much as I love OMFG's music, I have to admit that his songs are really easy to replicate. Like, *really* easy. Pretty much all of the challenge of it just comes down to technical stuff like intstrumentation and mixing. Take a i-VI-III-VII progression, throw a melody onto it (even if it doesn't fit) (bonus marks if you use a pentatonic scale), add some swing to the sixteenth notes, and bam. Just repeat that over and over again for about 8 bars, add a drop, repeat it again for another 8 bars, add a new melody using the same method as before, then loop the entire song. It's fun to make one or two songs like that, but building your entire music career off of that formula? It gets old pretty fast. I will congratulate him on some of his newer songs, he seems to be trying new stuff, but it still feels very formulaic.

He is still active on soundcloud and sometimes responds to comments under his last song Wash Your Hands. ( his latest response was 17days ago and he said "different times" under comment that asked why he isn't making music) I've read on tiktok from someone that alegedly works in same buisness that his talkbox had mold inside. (I dont know if this is true but my theory is that he might not concider buying another one because they are expensive and he is not sure what he wants to do) THIS IS MY OWN OPINION AND THEORY THIS MIGHT NOT BE TRUE!!! (i dont know if my response makes sense and if it is understandable sorry my main language isn't Engilsh sorry for my mistakes)
He does it constantly in the stream. I had mixed thoughts about it at frist but now I'm doing it in my tracks, makes finding a scale for your track so easy! When you open a plugin in Fl there's the toolbar, simply click that then you see the keyboard area, c5 is what is highlighted but simply clicking on another note while transpose the white keys into the scale of the note you select.
