Never heard of towson before now. They are an amazing looking company. I wasn’t sure where you were going with Bremont and CW but you are 100% right regarding we all questioned their existence for the first few years but after 20 years later they are here to stay and going strong. We use to be the mechanical watch making Mecca of the world.
There are quite a few watch makers in the Maryland area. Another is Hager Watch Company in Hagerstown MD. One of the movements they use is the MWW 7081 movement developed in Hagerstown MD by Maryland Watch Works. It's akin to the ETA 2824. The bridges and plates are heat annealed which strengthens and adds longevity to the movement.

TWC is a "collection of artists", commissioning the best of the best in each of the various arts required to make a watch. Our partners in Switzerland and Germany are simply a proprietary extension of TWC. What they make for us is not only designed by our watchmakers here in the USA, but exclusively produced for TWC. Not to mention the modification, decoration, and assembly that takes place in our Towson + Baltimore workshops. It's a perfect collaboration between specialized artisans, all whom work with their hands and strictly the highest-grade components, whether the craft is occurring at our workshops in the US or abroad. Unlike most, especially the Swiss watchmakers we all know well, TWC doesn't cut a single corner. We put into action and monitor each and every process that goes into making a timepiece. Not American Made, Towson Made.

Hey Rich, good to see another vid out. I like rectangular's, even had the iconic Cartier Tank back in the day. Long Island Watches just pulled off a handsome piece under their Islander Brand, round case (38m), fluted bezel, decent bracelet, somewhat retro DJesque. Call it a dress watch. Have you seen it? Wow now this is a classic elegant beauty. Also wonderful explanation between the 7751 and 7750 movements. The choptank is high end and it looks the part. Towson sounds a little familiar but I wasn’t as familiar with them but now I will be. I’m a little surprised that I haven’t heard about them since they’ve been around for as long as they have. 20+ years is amazing for an independent brand. I also have to say I consider your points valid as American made. Swiss made means absolutely nothing these days. I’m excited to learn more about Towson. Let’s see if my tax return can cover a Towson for me. Lol. 👍👏

Nice looking watch, keeping thickness at 12.5 would make it very wearable. I like that watch, that is a really nice shape for a chrono. Movement a great choice, easy to get serviced. It certainly has an abundance of complications ... Good show.

Despite its larger size, the case wears quite nicely on most, in regard to comfort, fit and aesthetic!

Rich my brother of the same name. Very good stuff. This case is beautiful and I love the rose gold dial and blued hands. I noticed the buckle is not signed, is that an OEM strap? Terrific and educational video. I never heard of Towson watches until now, will definitely check them out in detail. Thank you kind sir for the introduction. BTW I agree with you that it's American made as you can get and that's fine with me. 👍

I was wondering if you know anything about the rules for French watches ? It seems a lot of french brands are making there watches in Hong Kong or China and get away with calling them French
Yema comes to mind . They say Designed Developed & Assembled in France nowhere does it say manufactured . Let me know what you think I've been trying to figure this out for awhile .
If you want a top-of-the-line timepiece, it won't be possible to find one that is 100% USA Made. But then again, you won't really find any Swiss watch nowadays that is 100% Swiss Made, at-least not at a similar price to a TWC. The difference is, Switzerland is just a touch more lenient in regard to what can be characterized as "Swiss Made." Once the certain processes required to produce a watch are capable of being achieved here in the USA, you can bet that TWC will be right on that!

I can’t believe this is made in my beloved USA😱 Did we just go back to 1925? I’m incredibly happy Townson is made in the USA and I’m immensely disappointed with the size and overall proportions!
If this watch was smaller and thinner it would be a serious buy possibility in the next 4 years( god willing), maybe 18 months.
Hard pass! Wtf where you thinking Townson? That size screams “I’m not nearly as refined and talented as the Swiss and Germans”. Their was a time when the Swiss were envious and jn absolute awe of USA watch making.
