HUGE trout congrats! Curious on what your thoughts are about fish from daily stocked waters to just stocked to wild, this was in a fee fishing area correct?

It was. So what exactly do you mean by my thoughts? I fish all the above. And I would prefer over any thing wild/native trout fishing in small mountain streams! But most wild trout around here are smaller and people don’t like watching that as much.

Like to weigh in on this as well. I've been guiding Trout Fisherman for over 30 years. Countless trips to stocked and native waters alike. These pressured trophy stocked waters are FAR AND AWAY more difficult than your avg native stream. Those small natives are a cinch to catch once you get the stealth piece down. These trophy areas line The one here ( CRIPPLE CREEK, which I fish roughly 20 times a year ) are tougher. Sure they stocked them daily but they also have 15 to 25 people on them daily as well. If u don't think so then give it a try.

@@bjnelson9490 I would agree to this! These fish can be very hard to catch! They see about everything and can be tuff to fool! Not to mention trying to land some of these big fish can be hard to do. But very fun!

I just started fly fishing and there are big stocked trout in the creek I fish just like this one. I fish in Virginia close to this place. What flies should I use for big trout. A lot of the time during the summer the big trout sit on the bottom and eat flies but I don’t know what to use

No you didn’t! It is mostly white but has some other colors in it as well! I just didn’t know what to call it so I went with white!

4 parts brown sugar 1 part kosher salt sprinkle on meat side place in tupper wear sealed . Flip every hour. After 24 rinse pat dry let set till meat side is sticky tacky and place in the smoker. Smoke with cherry and hickory. Trout candy. Great fish even better off fly rod
