    It's not an exaggeration to say that talents are THE most important aspect of a monster. Stats can be maxed eventually regardless of growth through repeat synthesis, rank doesnt have any effect on stat caps, which are more important than growths.
    But even a weak stat monster can dominate if they have good talents. Talents turn zeros into heros. Focus on giving your monsters the best talents. Everything else is secondary.

    Making a list of evolved/combined skill trees here below as I discover them, feel free to add more in the chain below as you play the game:
    - Bang/Woosh/Crack/Frizz/Sizz/Crag/Zap/Zam Afficionado -> “ “ Virtuoso
    - Crag Virtuoso + Frizz Virtuoso -> Impactor (High level Frizz, Crag, Boom, and Zam skills, 200 point cap)
    - Splash Virtuoso + Woosh Virtuoso -> Polarizer (High level Woosh, Zap, Crack, Sizzle spells)
    - Blazer -> Smart Blazer
    - Shallow Breather -> Deep Breather (200 point max but gives highest level breath skill damage)
    - Cure-All + Healer -> Supreme Healer (need to double check if this works with Paramedic) (cure-all and supreme healer trees grant Omniheal)
    Useful notes: look for any skill tree that gives you auto-restora, auto-cadabra, or cast slasher (regen HP, MP, or halves Mana consumption respectively)

      I played DWM I and put more hours in it than probably any other GBC game, the best part of it was the random dungeons, so I hope this game has something similar later on. I've only gotten to G rank in Nadiria so far.

      It is different. Story is worse (based on the demo) but catching monsters and fusing them is much easier with a lot of traits that were hidden before being made visible fornthe player to make more informed decisions.
      Higher quality of life but lower narrative value. Pick your poison.

    However Hatchet Man at TP 85 points spend is really going to be brutal its really the ONLY way to kill even the WEAKEST Metal slimes in game BEFORE they run away and normally I'd want to fight THOSE around lv 15 too bad getting the 85 Talent points just to learn it would likely set you back closer to lv 30+ OUT of the games 100 lvs PER monster.

    • @Reddotzebra
      @Reddotzebra 7 місяців тому +2

      You don't have to.
      Here's how it works (Also Hatchet man is available in more skillsets, and some of them only requires 50 points, for example) you get a certain amount of talent points every second level, and you get more if the monster is fused, so if you fuse it once you generally get 9 points every second level.
      On top of this a monster that you fuse keeps half of the points that you originally put in its talent trees, so if you put ten points into a tree that contains hatchet man and then fuse the monster to another one, it will still have five points in the tree when it starts again at level 1.
      Also, and this is the REAL way to rapidly get the skills you want, if you have two monsters that has the same talent tree, so let's say two Feral slimes with the Fighter tree, and both of them has points in that tree, then when you fuse them, the game cuts the points of both trees in half individually and then gives the fused monster the sum of both, so if they both have the same amount of points in the tree, the new monster will start with that amount of points in it at level one, since it's half of one and half the other put together for a total of 100% of the points from one tree.
      So if you start with something simple like a Dracky, you want to max out its Zam Aficionado tree to get Zammle but you don't want to get all 100(!) TP by leveling that one monster, instead you can recruit four of them, and then level them up to level 10 (the required level for fusion), then you fuse both of them together and the two new drackies that you get will each have the amount of points you put in the Zam Aficionado tree of their parents at level 10, but at level one, and they will gain much more points per level than their parents did, you can now just keep leveling them as normal until you unlock Zammle, OR level them for a bit and then fuse them both together again to make the process even faster.
      Also I picked Zam Aficionado as my example for a reason, when you have eventually leveled it up to level 100 (the max level for this skill tree), it will get a black star next to its level. If you fuse a monster that has one of these trees (Not all of them do this, but all of the ones that are named for spells do, for example) then you will be able to choose for the fused monster to inherit an upgraded version of this skill tree in place of the original. Which is how you can rapidly get access to the higher levels of spells for example, like Zammle.

    Do you have any information on how evolving traits works? I'm trying to figure out if I evolve attack 1 to attack 2 if I need to keep both traits on the monster to stack them or if attack 2 keeps all the bonuses from attack 1 after the evolution

    • @DemonVermin
      @DemonVermin 7 місяців тому

      To evolve, the skills just need to get maxed. Like 100 points in Attack Booster 1 and then Attack Booster 2 will show up as another inherited skill when you synth.
      This doesn’t need to be all at once either. A Komodo with Attack Booster 1 50 points and a Dragonthorn with Attack Booster 1 50 points can also unlock Attack Booster 2 when fused.

      I'd wait if the Metal King Slimes only have 999 Defense not over 4000 then all you really need is a lv 100 Uber killing machine S rank and if it still doesn't have 500+ str to damage those by more then 1 HP then dump all your Str seeds until it does by 600 Str Hatchet Man/Lightning thrust should no longer be needed to kill Metal King slimes if they don't run away on its first turn.

  • @GaleBraveHeart
    @GaleBraveHeart 7 місяців тому

    To me, it's actually better to just bank your Skill Points on your monster instead of investing them. I don't think it actually halves the ones you carry over from parent to parent as you say. I got one monster sything at lv 10-20 every generation and the monster at lv 1 after 4 synthetic is having like 100.
    I personally think it's best to keep them banked till you have enough saved up for talents such as X booster 1 so you can dump them all 85 in that to get the next generation of that skill for the offspring and still have some points left over for it to use.

    Which skills are the best ? Im lost. Never really play dragon quest exept dragon warrior on NES or the 11th. So dont know name of those good spell/skill

    • @veghesther3204
      @veghesther3204 7 місяців тому

      As always Hatchet Man/Lightning Thrust are MUSTS since those 2 are critical hit or miss skills so their the ONLY way to kill the Metal Slime types for the BEST exp once they DO show up.
      But 85 Talent Points just for Hatchet man is going to be really BRUTAL when it may take like 50 of your 100 lvs to learn that skill when its BEST to even USE the weakest Metal slimes starting at lv 15 to lv 30 then the Metal King ones FROM lv 50 to lv 100.
      Healing stick with any monsters that can use AOE healing I prefer Healer Slime/Slime Knight FOR that.

    • @ayejaymanofficial
      @ayejaymanofficial 7 місяців тому

      In terms of Healers, grab a Healslime and max out the healer skill tree, and then around Midgame you’ll be able to synthesize a Hades Condor (comes with the Cure-All skill tree), once you max both skill trees out, combine a monster with a maxed out Healer skill tree with a maxed out Cure-All skill tree to get a Supreme Healer skill tree
      In terms of general spells, go with any Afficionado skill tree and max it out to get the Virtuoso version with oneshot spells. Spell damage scales harder early + midgame, and physical damage takes awhile to catch up
