It was the win that we all waited for years in Pakistan. When I heard that Jahangir Khan had won the World Open squash championship final in 1981 by defeating the reigning champion Geoff Hunt over the radio, I was stunned and delighted.
Taking the trophy to his late brother's grave who was ranked as high as 7 or 8 in the world squash rankings at his peak was very touching. It made me cry.
@@Meeshu40 Jahangir is the GOAT, then Jansher, then Geoff Hunt............ based on WTs and BOs. However if WTs had been around in Hunt's years of playing(starting in '66 on the world stage) the results might have been very different to this as we all know).
@@stevehughes1510 not just the WT and BO numbers but the way he dominated the game was unprecedented. He blew away his opponents in 80s . Hunt may have more WT but JK arrival was huge step to the level of squash
