You'd have to understand Archie to get along with him, Edith understands him and doesn't see him as bad as everyone makes him out to be because deep down he actually does care, he's just rough on the exterior.
Or does he mean the insults! He'd genuinely do anything for Edith. He's an ass and a jerk, but he does have a good heart. He loves Edith, REALLY loves her. He knows she's a odd bird but he does actually adore her.

In the long run Archie loved Edith. And although he didn't always show it he was afraid of losing her . Jean and Carroll were absolute treasures. Nobody else was made to play Edith and Archie.
The reality is in life people argue. Couples will argue. That's what makes this show realistic. It doesn't use the standard sitcom mold. This isn't The Brady Bunch.
O love Archie and Edith because they are the sort of people who President Donald Trump loves and keeps fighting for. We as America have got to get back to it somehow .

This was the BEST comedy show hands down. I am glad I had the privilege of watching all the NEW episodes growing up.
