I feel like at this point just making full new wheels for the front by scaling up the pizza cutters and adjusting everything would have been easier
I was kinda surprised they didn't pop, so I'm just imagining them made out of 90% rubber and 10% air in the middle
Remove at least 1 side step, 1 fuel tank, 1 exhaust stack and strip any other excess items such as interior etc.

set red line "shift point" to like 2400rpm the engine layover is killing it shift in the meat of the power
you want to shift after the peak though, otherwise all you're getting is a worse gear ratio, and starting before power starts. The problem here was beamng weird control back end that I didn't understand
Fill, You need to increase the torque converter diameter. You are blowing thru it with all the torque and increasing the stiffness only goes so far. That value is more for fine tuning. Turn the 0.5 value into a variable and set the initial value to something like 0.65 or 0.7
Reading the torque converter description got me XD

I never really considered seeing a semi truck be given the drag treatment until now. This one looks awesome though I think it needs some more stronger front wheel (practical for drag racing of course) 🤔
I like to think it's solid steel and solid rubber with a tiny interior air part :P

In the transmission file, the “gearchangedelay” indicates the number of seconds delay minimum between gear shifts for automatic transmissions, so make it short enough that it changes when you want, but not too short where it shifts up and down too much

@fillman86, great video, but you want the torque converter to stall at a lower rpm so you need to increase the diameter. The value 0.5 should be increased to like 0.7 or thereabouts. Better yet would be to make it a variable you can tune

at 23:00 ish second gear isnt too short, its the torque converter that is set to lock up at im assuming 3rd gear... if you notice your gaining speed in second while your rpm is staying the same so its just slipping, also when you change to 3rd instantly it pushes you back to second because your not going fast enough for 3rd
man, I love manuals so much more haha
Also for the torque converter, the only value really needed to be changed is the diameter, a larger diameter results in the engine speed being closer to wheel speed

Can you use jet liner wheels? That’s what some pulling teams use. They also build a sleigh underneath the frame so it gets over the watch a bit easier if it digs in

I think a longer first gear and launching at lower revs would help.
I always wish I understood torque converters until I remember they're for automatics, then I realise why I've never bothered :P
One question: why not dual axles for extra rear drag wheels and tires? And all are connected to the engine. Asif. you just took a stock dual axle truck, gave it a drag engine and some bigndrag slicks and nothing else.
lol that wouldn't be hard to do, but it'd be pointless as it didn't have traction issues anyway
@@fillman86 give it more boost than lol. And remove any unnecessary weight. And also make the frame out of fiberglass to reduce weight. There solved your problem in a very "budget friendly" way.

Classic Engine Expansion Pack is a mod, which makes the classic v8s more tuneable, with twin superchargers, a train supercharger and a twincharger.

you can use the performance ui app and set the distance to 400 meters and you can then easily time a ¼mile
oh I thought it only did 0-100kmh and any speed to 0kmh. Though I think I'll still use the drag strip because it adds to the effect in the video

HI dude. Been watching your videos for some time and observed this: you need to add more power to higher RPMs.
At this build at 2k RPM you had around 3k HP but at 3k RPM you have 1.5k HP, that half, try to minimise the drop of HP or make it linear or always uprising.
A suggestion from old modder of NFS MW, GTA SA and IV, LFS, and others.
Also for a tuning of gear box, try to have a drop between of gears of 600 RPM in low RPM engines, 1000 RPM for 3k to 6k RPM engines, 1.5k RPM drop for 6k to 8/9K RPM and 2000 rpm drop for a 8k+ rpm engines.
that's not how giant diesels work lol they're designed to run at the lowest RPM so they can have chunky parts (if they run fast, they pull themselves apart, and if they're small, they can't take the torque). I could have faked it easily, but I like "what if" instead of "wow lololol look at what I can't do"
as for gearbox tuning, unfortunately it is counted on gear ratios, not via rpm, so there's either lots of maths, or in my case... guess work

Mine differs from yours to side for more racing type and try to squeeze more power and more efficient for a determined application. That why I suggested to you to get a linear power from 2k to 3k rpm (with a minimum drop), yes I know that big diesel for a standard street usage have around 2k rpm max power (for fuel economy and torque), but for a special and tuner usage like this, we try to get as more power for more time during more rpms range as possible.
@fillman86 about gears, yes I know its about gear ratios and not rpm, but you can tune the gears ratios to match with rpms, from your videos I belive its an easy task for 3min for playing with numbers.

It looks like to me in first and second gear your torque converter slips too much and doesn't lock up until third. Make it lock up sooner you definitely have the power to pull thru it without bogging down the engine. And if it does just add more power.

Tune the gears for the power curve and tune the front suspension. Oh wait! What am I doing? I can't give you tips to make things easier, the entertainment from you suffering with modding and things is far too valuable. Ahem! Carry on to what you were doing then.
Another marvellous creation from you filman, wtih your creation, can you do much to the suspension? massive four link rear for a T series, not a request just a suggest. Dang commenters with their needyness.
that is a lot of effort, so probably not. Not to mention that traction and its ability to handle power isn't an issue yet anyway

lol those numbers are really not going to be accurate, as there's many other factors to take into consideration. Plus, I think this thing had like 3000+ hp

I know you probably dont care, but the turbos and superchargers dont make any sense together because they both have intakes and both go into the intake manifold separately
If you put the turbo charge pipe into the supercharger intake it would work
twin charging isn't that rare irl. There's a few different ways of doing it, and you never want to have them in line with each other, because in top RPM the supercharger will always limit it

luckily the mod is still there. Each and every mod is manually approved by beamng staff, they don't work on weekends of holidays, and when those are over, they then start sorting through the list.
