Can you tell me how you would approach learning illustrating without taking formal education?
I would invest in an adobe illustrator and/or photoshop subscription, it's the industry standard, and learning on one can make transferring those skills to another adobe software a little easier. There are so many free resources online. Start simple, nail the basics and then just practice!
